All-Star Alcohol/drugs At Worlds

I have to ask if the rules about alcohol were completely different for Summit. I’m almost positive that I saw beer trucks at ESPN WWOS during the competition. Parents and adults wearing gym attire were clearly drinking.

Worlds alcohol/drug rules applied only to the athletes, not spectators. Summit didn't have the same explicit restrictions on athletes, most likely as the majority are much younger than Worlds level athletes (nothing was specifically stated as at Worlds). Though the assumption was still there that we wouldn't be giving 8 year olds beers after they were out

LOL yeah, I don’t think anyone was giving small kids beer. I guess I misunderstood and the rule was in response to specific past behavior of athletes.

I thought maybe they were going for an alcohol free type event. Which wouldn’t be a bad idea IMO. I’m not used to seeing parents drinking at noon a kids event. In my area, it’s something that gets rec and club teams in trouble with the leagues.

Does Summit have same issues with booze/drugs/athletes?

I mean, I'd imagine not due to the constant presence of younger kids but there are also HS-aged athletes there as well.
