so we now have even MORE divisions.

also- regarding open level 5, this is previous level 5r (I believe?) and is now a worlds division

5R is now 5. (and 5 is not a Worlds level anymore to my knowledge)

5 is new 6.

6 is new 7.

and 7 ate 9.

There were 14 in 2018. That's nearly double in 2 years.

My understanding is also that US teams will not be allowed to enter the IASF level 5 divisions. Craziness all over the place. Consistent from 2008-2018, then the floodgates open. It is worth noting that the industry didn't suddenly double in size over the last couple of years. IASF and USASF are now mostly split from each other, and my assumption is their revenue comes from teams that enter their specific divisions - so there is a race to offer as many as possible to entice teams to go to their side.

I can't imagine how nuts it's going to be that weekend. It's already crazy having all those teams there (and it's technically 2 levels, not counting specific all girl/coed and then the team sizes on top of that) so adding a third along with that.....ESPN and the parks is going to be especially crazy.

small all girl & coed
Medium all girl & coed
Large all girl & coed
International open 5 all girl & coed
International open 6 all girl & coed

in my opinion that was all the divisions we needed

Unpopular opinion: I actually do not mind having the NT divisions.

Except that it isn't more teams or more bids (although I expect that is coming). It is just more winners.
