# 1 French braids are super hard for me and I am a hair person lol.
I'm in love with the curly low side pony. No teasing look good on multiple textures, lengths, and densities. The girls also loved that they can take their hair down after a comp and not look crazy lol. For worlds I did my entire x-small teams hair 9 girls and all but one kept that style in for the entire weekend.
I like buns but my kids would hate it.
Lastly stop saying straight hair is easy, it's not.
Theres no overarching "easy" hair style. For myself, curling my hair involves sleeping in rollers with a ton of product, and even then, I'd be lucky to have the curl last 3-4 hours before being totally flat and sad looking.
We do a french braid across the front (left to right) that is pulled back into a high pony. It's preferred if it's straight, but if you have naturally curly hair that is difficult to straighten, then leave it curled. Most of our kids seem to not have a curly hair issue.
While I understand not just letting everyone do whatever they want, I think it's fine to be understanding and lenient of everyone's natural hair situation. I'm here to tell everyone that as a former judge, there was no score for everyone looking identical. I only ever lightly considered the over all "look" of a team in that, is it athletic/age appropriate/tidy etc.
