Someone is going to get fingers tangled in those straps! The skirt would be cute with a different top.

And I do wonder how the blinged up knee-highs work for backspots that need to hold ankles.

This is just plain inappropriate.

I have to wonder what the gym owner was thinking when they sat down with Rebel and decided this is the look they wanted for their gym.

Your profile pic is so perfect for this uni. Reminds me of the Fifth Element.

I don't even have boobs and I'd still be afraid they'd fall out of the sides of these uniforms, how in the WORLD are they expected to lift their arms above their head and not be worried for the same thing?

This is it. This is the line. I have seen some HORRENDOUS uniforms but I have never legitimately thought that it would make me quit if I had to wear it. This is the one. I absolutely cannot figure out who thought this was cute, functional, or at all appropriate. Which sucks because honestly the skirt is really cute, in my opinion, and then it's ruined by this franken-bomination styled top.

it looks like there's no sheer/mesh connecting the paper chains. I also can't figure out how they thought the ties on the sides of the top were a good idea. And the back... oh my. The bra brigade will have a field day with it.

Yeah the ab straps are just unnecessary. But Rebel has a tendency to opt for unnecessary flourishes. Which is fine if they’re still conducive to moving around, but these aren’t. It’s my biggest issue with them: these designs that look ok if the athlete is just standing there for a photo, but that lose their effect if the athlete so much as bends over. Those ab straps are a perfect example: they fall in place if the athlete is posing and static, but will crumple/scrunch/fold during literally all other motions (not to mention the safety issue they present). And while I get that Rebel prides itself on doing what others don’t — and that it’s worked well for them — it’s frustrating to see them relapse back to a place where it looks like cheer was an afterthought in the design process. I like a lot of what Rebel does, but sometimes I think they lose focus.

Scratch 6 are gorgeous and bra friendly. Absolutely love these!

This is a great uniform.

Really drives home the point re: the outcome in uniforms is all about owner/leadership/stakeholder input more so than the company. The last 2 I commented on are made by same company, for 2 different gyms. If owners/leaders aren't considering kids' comfort, are going for a theme over function, etc. that's how we end up with the unis that make us say "Wow I'd quit if I had to wear this."

My daughters gym just got their uniforms from Rebel and have to say they r the most athletic looking ones they have had in a few seasons, no crazy cut outs and not too crazy over the top bling.. All up to the owners who design and approve them.

Yeah they’re capable of designing great unis. I really love the ones from Ice or ECE in particular. But sometimes I think they get a bit carried away and it can be distracting.

To be fair I think they’ve really come a long way from their inaugural year as a uniform design company. A few years back when they first started, my team got free uniforms from them after winning a comp as part of a marketing campaign. I was super excited to shop, but distinctly remember glancing through their first catalog and thinking, “What am I supposed to do with any of this?” We settled on a white version of the Gemma and it turned out beautifully, but I definitely had a moment of confusion looking at all the straps and fringe and laces that seemed to pop up on every page.

Top Gun posted their new program uniform and it’s beautiful but I don’t know how to post pictures.

Seems like we’re all going for more classic lines this year. I like it.

I’m low-key wondering if TGLC returned to a classic uni design because last year’s unis received such mixed reactions. This is very tame for them. I like it, but it’s definitely more conservative.
