Cheetahs elites look like a more innovative and jam-packed stunt coed elite did circa 2009

Off topic, but some of these competition backdrops are out of control. Is Spirit Celebration a sporting event or a school Christmas play? It's cute, but seems overboard. At WSF, they had moving snowflakes in the background that sometimes distracted from the flyers in the air. How about we keep things a little simpler, and maybe in turn we can lower participation costs a bit as well.

I feel like this is TAME for Spirit Celebration.

Isn't that the one who used to have the donated toys in the back as part of the backdrop?

Their coach claims they’re the first team to compete an extended hand-in-hand with a twisting pop through:

“Extended” is a generous term though, the flyers don’t quite hit the stunt with the bases fully-extended.
I think he more means extended with the hand in hand itself being extended. Not necessarily how they finish the pop through.

EL OH EL. My first comment after seeing the vids was "wow, SC really tamed down their back drop this year." It used to be stacked with presents and was so so so visually overwhelming that I usually couldn't watch those videos.

This was last years.

How are judges actually seeing things? Do they feel like they're playing an intense game of Where's Waldo? And how are they not just staring at that giant Pikachu the whole time??? That year was certifiably 100% Too Much™.

This year I saw they stacked them off to the side which is a step in the right direction. I always thought something with garland, string lights, and glitter could be very festive yet simple and pretty. It would be neat if the lights could change colors to match whatever the team's colors were that were on the floor.

The comp functions as a toy drive. From their site: "This is our annual Worlds Bid Event and Christmas Toy Drive. All athletes will bring their new, unwrapped toy to registration at the time of check-in. Toys will be distributed to benefit: Dallas Association of the Deaf, I Can Still Shine, Scottish Rite Hospital and Santa’s Workshop of Ft. Hood."

This is the only reason their backdrop is excused. (But SC, there are better ways!! :help:)
