I totally geek out on the Big NCA Spreadsheet! Thank you so much for the time you put into it! :)
I was wondering if there was an easy way to see the percentage of wins a gym has compared to how many teams they had at the competition. My little gym, Express Cheer, usually takes around 8 teams to NCA and for the past few years we have had 3-4 wins. That looks so little compared to the huge gyms who bring 40 teams, but I thought it would be interesting to see how our ratio of wins compares to other gyms. Does that make sense?
Thank you so much!!! :)
I love it, too! I can't take the credit for it though, BlueCat has put a lot of time into it over the years.
That would definitely be an interesting thing to track, maybe if I have time later this week or weekend I can look at that for this year!

Dont nca and worlds go by different score sheets....
I mean i get this is a good preview with how worlds might go, but I feel like people do this every year and every year worlds goes very different then nca.

This is good to keep in mind.

Anything can happen any weekend.

After last year's large senior and a few other surprises through the years, you learn not to count anyone out.

Ex: Last year going into Worlds I would have put money on Panthers, I was that confident.

I need a big, fat bow on the top of those girl's heads on Cheetahs.

I know they are going away from bows and for athletic, but I wanttttttttt it.
I absolutely hate the scrunchies with regular cheer hair. Just give us back normal cheer skirts and bows please! I don’t mind the two French braids or similar but doing the big hair without bows is tragic.

Any update on Lg Sr. 6 scores? (Also, I feel so weird putting 6 instead of 5. Ugh.)

It’s hard to accept the changes but I don’t get why gyms still have 5 in the names . Like are they hoping it goes back to the previous divisions?!

Cheer Theory has this: Cheer Theory's 2019 Gym Ranking Based on Cheerleading Worlds Titles - Cheer Theory

It’s not exactly what you’re looking for, but it gives you an idea of how strong certain programs are based on Worlds wins. For example: CA tops the list as every team they produce seems to dominate. BUT Cali isn’t that far behind them, which is interesting because they haven’t been around for as long as CA and yet still have comparable wins. And my personal fave fact: even though World Cup takes the 8th spot on this list, their LAG team has more wins than any other gym by quite a large margin. So I don’t know what they feed their Stars, but I want some.

It’s an interesting read for sure.

Can anyone explain to me specifically why Orange has the better routine over SE? Because I just can’t see it.

It’s probably my affection for them that’s clouding my judgement, but it just seems to me that their routine is superior. Yes, Orange’s elites are more difficult, but SE’s tumbling is more synchronised, their single-braced flips are practically mirror images of each other, and their pyramid is better. Not to mention the confidence those kids perform with. They have the edge, in my mind. And yet the raws say otherwise.

What am I missing?

Interesting but I don’t think one World’s team means the entire program is strong. How many of the athletes work their way up in the program vs. move to a gym for a team. Some gyms may not dominate the world’s divisions but may still be very successful in all divisions. For example, World Cup isn’t as successful in any other division as LAG. I think we have also seen that satellite gyms of big name gyms aren’t always as successful either so I’m not sure how I feel about the list.
