interesting. We’re not supposed to use nebulizers for Covid patients because it’s too risky for bedside personnel. I hope this treatment isn’t done at the expense of the safety of nurses/RT/doctors.

I have zero medical background. If he is being honest, he said he has treated COVID patients since March this way, with a 100% recovery rate.

This is a west Texas small town quack doctor whose “paper” was solely “published” on some garbage website called America Can We Talk. Not exactly a reputable peer-reviewed publication. His peers, if you google this, are all saying he’s basically nuts.

Thanks, for the information. That is disappointing. I was excited to see a positive post.

I watched V for Vendetta the other day for the first time.

And now I would not be surprised if we magically get a vaccine in September... right before Trump is up for re-election.

I don’t mean to get all tinfoil hat on everyone, but the way things are shaping up these days it would not surprise me one bit if that’s how the timeline unfolds.

I read short article about this also and I thought he was insane to call it a cure. It said he’s treated a dozen patients with it. He was quoted as saying that a patient tested neg for Covid twice after taking it and that’s why it’s a cure.

I’ve had budesonide several times in conjunction with albuterol when I had severe respiratory infections. It’s a generic medication. I would imagine that several dr’s would have already tried prescribing it given that Covid is a respiratory illness.

We have people here with appointments to get tested but leaving before actually getting tested because of Ridiculous long wait times... then getting calls they are Covid positive (no really) nothing is surprising, Tinfoil hat is the norm-

Three weeks ago my husband went for his colonoscopy and a few days later we found out he has a very small cancerous legion they believe to be stage 1, but we won't know definitively until surgery. Surgery was scheduled for this coming Monday and he had his COVID19 test this past Wednesday, on Friday we found out he tested positive. No symptoms, no fever, and he was cutting the lawn when they called him.

Pre this test, when we found out about the cancer, we decided he would shelter in place and I would limit outings to the store. However, I had already signed contracts to move my 86 year old mother from St. Louis to Atlanta. We were over the top careful because we knew if he tested positive, he would have to wait 30 days for surgery. I went to St. Louis and packed up my mom's belongings and the only outing he had was to help move my mom a few days later. In those two days he went to 5 gas stations, 4 drive thru's for food, and stayed in a hotel overnight. Otherwise, we were by ourselves in my mom's condo and loading things onto a truck. I share this information for two reasons, the first being we would have never known my husband had COVID19 if it weren't for his surgery and we would have never tested. Second, we were over the top obsessive with masks, distancing, hand washing, cloroxing credit cards/fast food cups/gas pumps, etc during these past few weeks to insure he wouldn't test positive. It's a virus folks, it's airborne, you are walking through it, it's on your clothes, your skin and it's on those masks you wear. I'm not going to down play the fact this virus can be serious, but I like @quitthedrama applaud getting back to life and feel people are picking and choosing what they feel the end all of protection and safety is. An asymptomatic person wearing a mask full of COVID19 the way 90% of people wear and use masks is not going to protect your loved one, and my husband was social distancing to the extreme.

@AndyT_T the negative comments from my husband's doctor on using Budesonide/Pulmicort was steroids suppress the immune system and can possibly cause further complications from infection, however, he said there are studies in the works on steroid inhalers. I encourage anyone that has COVID19 to speak to their doctor about treatment, he said they are learning things daily about this virus and all treatments have risks. My husband's Dr said if my husband presents with any symptoms his first choice is to prescribe HCQ early on, but without symptoms there's no reason to treat.

Sorry for the double post, but I don't know where you are, but I've heard of the same thing happening at a couple of places in Atlanta. Many places here are out of supplies. I was trying to read a sign at a closed drive thru station and got out of my car to read the sign, a man pulled up and asked what it said. He said at the places that required appointments, the first one he could get was 10 days out and he went ahead and signed up for 7 consecutive days, because he has to have a negative report to go back to work. He said his boss was the one that encouraged them to sign up for several consecutive days so they wouldn't have to wait for test results and then another 10 days. It's crazy.

I have seen this post too in a different state which makes me think it’s one of those tales that get started but no one can actually name a person it has happened to. Stuff gets shared on Facebook and people take it as fact and when asked who it was that got a positive test result back when never taking the test, they can’t name the person, just “oh someone shared a post.” Be careful with those types of viral posts.

If someone actually knows someone this happened to, i would love to hear their actual story.

I tend to be skeptical, as well, only because it is always "a friend said...." but, I have also seen circumstances where computer software and user error happen, as well. A friend posted this on Facebook this morning and I wouldn't post it because I couldn't find the origin. If someone can find its origin, I'd love to know:

In California, it’s happened to people we KNOW... As in NOT a “friend of a friend”... Here is CA we are encouraged to test like it’s a religion- my phone alerts me every time I pass a testing site and I’m using my GPS- advertised everywhere and Many places of employment are asking for it to be done even without showing symptoms. Something else I was just made aware of is if you are tested multiple times and test positive multiple times as “Follow up Checks” until you finally get a negative- each of those positives are added as an individual case count. So if I test positive 3 times until I get that negative to go back to work, that’s 3 new case counts...
That’s just bad math/stats
Doesn’t make this virus any less scary, but it doesn’t help give us a real accurate picture of what’s going on...and if people are getting positives without being tested - is it tainted testing? Sloppy specimen collection? Poor lab organization? Is it intentional... not? See- TIN HAT

Good to know. I had heard about the multiple testing counts only because we have several healthcare workers in our subdivision stating the same.

Folks, in the past 27 days my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer (stage 1), my husband was diagnosed with colon cancer (they believe is stage 1). My independent 86 year old mother began hallucinating and has significant memory loss they're attributing to her 6 weeks of isolation. My very stable oldest is now taking anxiety meds, as needed. And, my youngest's ex-boyfriend, who was never violent, pushed her down in anger 10 months after their break up and she has a significant sprain. Coincidence? Perhaps, but I strongly believe the stress of COVID19 is just as dangerous, if not more, than the actual virus. If people feel a mask is needed for their kids to go back to school and activities, so be it, slap those suckers on everyone and let's get back to life. My only other advice to the masses, if you're behind on your preventative tests get them scheduled and don't think those new personality changes are just going to go away.

1. I’m so sorry you’re going through all that. Fortunately those cancers are common with well-established treatments. And the fact that your sister and husband have caught them early is half the battle. It’ll be a scary time for you, but it really sounds like things are recoverable from what you said.

2. We’re ALL on anxiety meds. Lots of us from before COVID. This is nothing to worry about :)

3. Your kid should probably cut that ex off. She’s in for an emotional time with all this family cancer stuff. The last thing she needs is a guy who sounds a tad unbalanced.

4. Good luck with everything. FWIW, I really do believe your husband and sister will be fine. As I said, those cancers are common with proven treatments that have been effective for years. I’m not sure what kind of insurance you have, but I do know that Kaiser took care of every single one of my mom’s medical bills when she had cancer. So if you already have them or can switch, just know I’d highly recommend them. Stay strong!

Wow ... I’m so sorry to hear this

@Sterling von Shimmer @CheerItFullOut Thank you. We are blessed with good insurance, good doctors, treatments, a temporary protection order, and catlady’s cure for everything, a new kitten. I know several families that are starting to feel the fall out of COVID19 in different ways, it’s not just us. Jobs, sleep, routine, structure, socializing, activity, time away from screens, routine healthcare, it’s all important.
