Did any one else notice that all level 5 and 6 as well as the Special Needs Teams will be competing both days in the Main Arena this year in Dallas. They will not be in Hall A or B

Edited to delete the 2010 block schedule.

It looks like everyone will compete in the same place on Sunday as they compete on Saturday (different from last year). I am guessing they put Level 5 and 6 in the Arena as they draw pretty big crowds. And how Awesome that the Special Needs teams are in the Arena too! They always bring the crowd to their feet.

Yeah I think last year when Top Gun performed on day 1, it got so crowded that the fire chief could have shut down that specific hall.

I liked it when they gave every team the opportunity to compete in the arena. It has such a special feel for the athletes to experience.

Not a good idea...the "Seat Hoarders" will be out in full force in the arena. Hopefully security will be just as good as they were last year.

I personally like that the level 5's are all in the arena both days. That arena has so much cheerleading history, and if those walls could talk it would have a lot to say. That arena is where most of the major world contenders of today built their reputation and fan base by winning the coveted NCA national title. From what I was told quite a few coaches were asked what they thought and an overwhelming majority were in favor of the level 5's competing both days in the arena. I also was told that this is possibly the last year for the arena. Allegedly it is scheduled to be torn down after this years events which wouldn't surprised me considering the entire Dallas convention center has been expanded and looks very nice. I hope it's not true because the Arena to me is NCA. The feeling of it and the memories there are what keep me returning to NCA win or lose. It will be very different without it.

I heard this also so I asked Justin Carrier of NCA and he said not true. It would be a sad sad day that alot of cheerleaders could stand and protest if ever to come true.

It would be a sad day indeed if they tore down the Arena. It is the All-Star Mecca.

What is up with them having small senior 4 a (20 kids) and small senior 4 b (19 kids or less) that's dumb! I could see maybe having one for 16 kids or less but 19?

I would really prefer you use a different word to describe your feelings about the split. There are lots to choose from and you could make your point just the same.

Thank god! That is great to know. :dancingbanana:

I am so happy level 5 is in the arena. It is the hardest level and everyone has had to work to get to that level so it's like icing to the cake. All of the halls are great to but halls have more seating issues. Most people do come and watch level 5 so that why I think they are in the arena because like Top Gun everyone comes and watch both days. I think of it as something to look forward to when you make level 5.
