HPU does not give 'full rides' so to speak. They give tuition based scholarships of either 80% or 100% depending on tryout results. Tuition for a full year at HPU runs close to 15K.....then you have to pay for housing, meals, books, transporation etc......that can cost about 17K a year depending on the lifestyle you live and how much you want to eat!!! It is a GREAT school.

San Diego State University!! I don't know if they do scholarships, but if you make the team they pay for your books. I also do know they go to the College UCA Nationals. They have done amazing there. They were 2009 national champs and 5th this year due to an injury. :)

They dont give out cheerleading scholerships, i dont think, but Slipery Rock is a good cheerleading collage, but it is coed. That is where I am going. I think that they go to nationals, i will ask my friend and i will let u kno.

Slippery rock has a fantastic all girl team! and a great coach (Kinsey basko, who is at Pittsburgh superstars).
they go to uca nationals and won last year

Lindenwood University All Girl has been going to Nationals for years and places Top 10 each year! They are definatley up and coming and improving each year. They give HUGE scholarships. I went to school there for four years and my loans will be paid off by 2015....

NC State All Girl has placed in the top 5 at NCA Nationals for the past three years as well as Cheersport Nationals. The team is a club team, so you're alotted extra time to be in sororities and school affiliated clubs instead of working on gameday material. It's definitely more of an "Allstar feel," if that's what you're into. The school is also very well know (especially if you want to be an engineering, design, or textile major). www.ncstateall-girlcheerleading.com is their website. You can also call Kelly Smith, the owner for Cheer Extreme Raleigh, for more information.

Yes, my friends from cheering go there and they love it! She also visits the gym once in awhile and talks about it!:rays:

HPU doesn't even give 80% or 100% scholrships anymore... Cheer scholarships are all based on your FAFSA now if you want to go on percentage then what I got this year would be equvilant to about 47% so don't be dependent on those amounts if thats where you want to go.

slippery rock has a coed and all girl team, and both are very talented with phenomenal coaches. and as rich said, their all girl just won UCA last year, and coed placed second.

That's too bad they stopped the 80% and 100% scholarships..........but still, 47% is fantastic!!!!

This is a great resource, thank you! It would be WONDERFUL if there were a "search engine" on it that would allow you to select "competitive", "coed", and "scholarship" and generate a list with all 3 of those choices. That would allow our search for a school to be so much quicker!! Any chance that is in the future plans?

You can go 70 miles South of Pittsburgh and cheer for WVU! :)
Let's Go....Mountaineers!!!

(they don't compete though)

It would also be nice if it was more conclusive. What they have on there is by no means all of the colleges that compete, or even all of the colleges that compete at NCA and UCA. It's a good place to start, but It's always best to do your own research.

Yes after doing more research over the past few days I've noticed that :/.
