Quite honestly, I have no idea why they were PMing me either. I guess because I have been so vocal about my feelings on cheating on all the various threads started about it (including one I started). But thank you for clarifying that you were not speaking about me as I really have no hand in this at all, except the fear of a nasty fight getting started.

I have to agree. Again, the only reason I can come up with to openly discuss that is to relish a fight. So why did I bring it up? I really don't know except I saw the post by the staff, but after the original post, I had second thoughts. I tend to think out loud sometimes.

Well there's no harm in that. I think we all do that. lol And thank you for keeping this respectful. :)

Why can't every potentially volative discussion be handled so maturely? Nice job posting politely and keeping the thread unlocked. Kudos to Mclovin & Allgoodpeople!

I appreciate that, but I feel like I flew the Enola Gay over the coast of Japan and decided not to drop the bomb. Pretty much I could have stayed out of the cockpit.

Because it was only "potentionally" volatile. Nothing was really said except the discussion to not discuss it, which I agree was handled great. I guess what I'm left wondering is if you can't discuss the reasons behind these notifications, why bother posting them?

I guess just a congratulations is in order to CEA for being cleared for any wrongdoing and that's that!

If I ever meet you at a competition, I'll give you a brief synopsis. It is no secrete.

Does Courtney have a problem with the details being posted?

The Rules Committee

Rules Committee May 12, 2010

The USASF/IASF Rules Committee recently reviewed concerns that arose around the Kaepa Starlyte shoe as it pertains to the current USASF/IASF footwear rule for cheerleaders.

The Rules Committee discussion focused on the following areas:
-- The current rule as it is written and if the shoe in question falls within the guidelines --

The original intent of the rule as it pertains to performer safety After in depth discussion and review of the shoe itself by several committee members, the committee ruled that the Kaepa Starlyte does meet the guidelines of the rule and the intent of the rule as it was meant to be.

We therefore, as a body, rule this shoe legal under our current rule.

The committee also felt that a further review of the "shoe rule" for the 2010-12 cycle is necessary given the discussion that was generated in this particular situation.

Board Approved May 20, 2010

Would you explain to me what on earth this is about? Who decided to take up the committe's time with something as frivolous as a shoe? I'm dying to know what problem this alleged shoe caused lol

Oh no! Now why would you want to open this can of worms?! The shoe was cleared of any wrong doing, but there are some who still think this shoe is guilty as sin. Tread lightly, it could get nasty in here!

King, can you merge this with the Kaepa thread that discussed the issue?

Just did... thought I am not sure if that is exactly what you wanted to do?

The answers are scattered in here somewhere.

There was a thread where you or Les or someone actually posted a picture of the shoe that outlined what the issue was. That's the one I was thinking about.

tread lightly about a shoe? People are going to get crazy defensive about a shoe? Unless it's got steriods that you absorb through your feet, I don't see what the problem could be...
