I expected there to be quite the discussion today about the rules that are slated to be discussed for change/amendment. Unless I've missed it somewhere with this new board, I can't find a discussion thread anywhere.

What is everyone's thoughts??

Don't like the idea of eliminating Junior level 5 or Youth level 4. Those are such great divisions!

Rules I am in love with so far:

Changing large to 30 or 32
Extending level 5 and 6 routines to 2:45
Put a bottom age of 12 on all senior divisions
Almost all the updated level 2 and 3 proposals
Splitting divisons by size instead of gender
No Tosses in Tiny or Mini
Redefining Medium and Large Coed
Getting Rid of Junior Coed teams
Change the age grid to option B
Junior 5 being restricted (maybe controversial, but I think it's a good idea)

I agreeee with all of this, but the Junior 5. Otherwise, I think these proposals will really help.

junior 5 , in my opinion NEEDS to stay, all these talented young athletes need a chance to shine. i honestly dont think it would be fair to them at all.

I think just about anyone who has competed a level 5 or 6 routine will agree with me on this one, no thank you to an extra 15 seconds. nomaam.com

REALLY don't understand the proposed changes for level 4 stunting...Doesn't really leave much room for anything, especially when I would say AT LEAST 95% of all junior/senior level 4 teams can easily do some sort of switch up/tick tock variation at the least...Most are doing more than that...

I love:
The changes to level 2 and 3 standing tumbling
Making large senior 30 or 32
The redefining of the coed divisions
The creation of international open 4
Limiting crossovers

I don't like:
Getting rid of the young, talented divisions
Calling open 5 "restricted 5". Just sounds lame to me.
Changing the eligibility date
Scaling routine times by level

Yeah an extra 15 seconds on the mat....there would b alot of bodies to pick up after some level 5 and 6 performances...hahaha, and i couldnt imagine getting rid of Jr 5, I feel like it would hold athletes back OR you will end up with a ton of super young sr 5 teams or gyms with multiple sr 5 teams to get around it.
