Any tips for someone whos never been there?

Bring comfy shoes...lots of walking, even if you hotel is close by or attached the convention center is very big. It is attached to an awesome mall so you can get quick food...beats the long lines and aweful venue choices. If your flying in, the cab ride is about $30 each way...if you have a large group try a limo service, Carey is a good one... 9 passanger stretch or 13 pass van will run $78 plus tip.

30-70 is a bit crazy, I know but it will totally change things up on who hits day 2...I saw a team go from a strong first place to 5th the first year we went to Indy 6 yrs ago.

On the flip side I also saw a team from a "well respected" gym go from 5th to 1st, so I guess day 1 is almost like a warm up since day 2 is going to be EVERYTHING at Super "duper" nationals!

Bring a jacket, but be prepared to get a locker or carry it once in the convention center. If your hotel is attached, you can do without it, but you won't want to go outside after unless you walk all the way back to your room.

There are some cool restaurants in the area besides the standard Macaroni Grill and such, spend a little time to get acquainted and you'll be glad you did.

To save money, there are a couple of CVS stores within walking distance (about 5 blocks) where you can buy drinks and snacks for the rooms, especially if the kids will be hanging out in the hotel at night.

For more adult suggestions (like beverage establishments) pm me.

There is an AWESOME reasturaunt called Buca De Bepo. It's Italian and family style so bring your appetite!

The Buca De Bepos I've been to do a GREAT job of serving a team family style.

I forgot to mention, if you want to do a team dinner, get your reservation as soon as you get there if not before you go. 400+ teams will be trying to do the same thing.

Make sure to make reservations if you're going anywhere popular. One year we went to Champs and they told us our food would take about 30 minutes and ended up taking TWO HOURS. (They ended up giving all 20 of us our meals for free :) )
