Just thought I'd provide a place to talk about everything to do with Canadian cheer.
I know there are lots of Canadians on the board so here is a place to voice our opinions and get to know what's going on around our country this season.

Let me start things off:

What gyms have teams planning on going to worlds this year? What divisions?

no bids have actually been givin out yet in canada *im pretttyy sure*
but ive seen both teams, and without a doubt these teams will get a bid.

First Bid Event in Canada was last weekend in Montreal. Flyers All Stars CoEd got a partial paid, and their All Girl as well got a bid (not sure if partial or at large) and RND also got one I believe.

Its about a month until Ontario bids I think. And I think West COast bid comps start soon. East Coast bids (where we get our bid) is the last weekend in March. (Sooo late!!)

I DO know that this year will see the highest number of Canadian teams at Worlds ever!

oh thats great!
i knew there was one in montreal soon, just wasnt sure when!
i cant wait to see all the amazing Canadian representation at worlds this yr! :)

March 5th and 6th Ontario Championships is where most of the teams will be getting their bids.
so far as I know, the teams planning on going are as follows
Cheer Sport Sharks- IOAG 5, IOAG 6
Power Cheer Toronto- IOC 5, IOC 6, IOAG 5
Cheerforce Wolfpack- IOAG 5, IOC 6
Ultimate Canadian Cheer- IOC 5

not too sure about Black Widow, they had an IOAG 5 compete earlier this year at PCA Nationals, but I could not tell you if they were going to compete for a bid this year at Provincials.
8 teams seems like not enough? I feel like I'm missing some teams, but I might be thinking about last year when 2 J5 teams competed..

also, being from Ontario, I don't know much about teams outside of Ontario, just going based off of friends on these teams, I know Vancouver Allstars has an IOAG 5 that is looking at going to Worlds.

I think we will have minimum 15 Canadian Teams at worlds this year, which is exciting, maybe even more. There is still another bid event in Montreal in March, so I'm sure there will be more... I don't know about anyone else on the West Coast other then Vancouver planning on going, but Vally went last year so maybe again?

should be exciting!
I think we'll see a lot of AMAZING talent in IOAG 5 this year from Canada
I haven't seen Vancouver, but I know Wolfpack and Great Whites are definitely capable of top 3!
