Though I think this is a fantastic discussion, which btw, has been beaten to death with no changes....I don't feel its fair to the athletes on the team, while the competition is in progress, to place a specific team name to the question.

"Some post, but everybody reads"[/quote

This post was not meant to be directed at Allstar Athletics . This was just a statement after reading the standings and making a comment, which I was not able to edit once posted. I wish Allstar Athletics luck today. This post is meant for the teams who recieved bids the last couple of weeks while finishing at the bottom of their divisions, while not throwing level 5 skills just so they have no deductions. Good luck to all teams this weekend and at worlds.

Hello All: GLCC has been a good event so far. Just wanted to check in and give some perspective. We appreciate the attention :) Especially from, Flyer Mom which looks like a local fan from our neighbor gym 3 miles away. I would have hoped you would have wanted another local team in Orlando to help cheer you guys on.

To make a note about the strait up stunts, it is good to have high to high tick tocks and one and a half ups, which is what we are working on for sure, but what our coaches have done is read the scoring ruberic for jamfest and put together our difficulty to work off of the score sheet to do what is best for this event. At this event, Our stunt difficulty is a 9.8, our load in transitions and dismount difficulty is a 9.5 and overall stunt score averaged over a 9.3. So to say we aren't putting up legit stunts is a matter of opinion and is irrelevant to us because this is not worlds, this is a jamfest event and our routine is set on that ruberic. Worlds is 6 weeks away and we will update to max out per that scoresheet between now and then, should God Willingly, we earn a bid..

Our newest incarnation of our team put together this routine in the last 2 weeks with many new members and replaced 5 girls this week from our last competition last weeked, and replaced a replacement of a replacement Thursday night due to an injury.

I think we looked great, and our overall raw score was over a 9 at jamfest which is a legitimate usasf company with a legitimate scoresheet. So to say that they are giving bids away, the weekend isn't over yet and this team can score in and above the 9 range at a Jam brands event... I think that is pretty legit. Anyway, the Small Senior division here is the most deep and 9 out of 11 have already earned bids to worlds so the scores are going to be high and tight. I just find it a little sad that my kids who have been working hard that do come on here get to see people saying what they do and don't deserve. Thats tough on a kid and not what they need to see going into day 2 of what might be our last competition of a year.

Good luck to all the rest of the teams this weekend at GLCC :)

I do not represent or am I affiliated with any gym at this current moment, just a big fan. I wish all Illinois and Midwest teams luck and sorry for offending you.

This is such a fun competition! So many great teams here fighting for those bids! This is CheerLIVE's first time to be at a GLCC event and we are so proud to be partnered up with such a friendly and helpful staff! We are from Houston TX and they have made the (very long) trip up to Detroit a breeze!

I see a lot of comments about wishing you could watch some videos of these teams! Well your in luck! If you dont already know we are LIVE WEBCASTING this entire event! Not only that but we have UPGRADED so much to our webcasting events, so if you have ever watched one of our webcasts you will be blown away now! The screen size and video quality is outstanding (Almost HD) and it is now available on ALL computers (unlike Jamfest were it was only PC's)! We have listened to our fans and there suggestions and feel like we are moving in the right direction! If you watch the webcast please feel free to leave feedback as we are ALWAYS trying to get better!

The post before did mention our gym by name calling us out... And did very much look to be directed at our program. 2nd we have not finished at the bottom of our division and we have not earned a bid, I appreciate that optimism though. 70 percent of this competition counts today. And again I do not take offense to an OPINION that we are "not throwing level5 skills" but thats because the fact is that we are. My scoresheets tell me that. The jamfest scoring scale tells me that. Our stunt difficulty averaged over the mid 9's. Pyramid too. We have what we need majority to score within our ranges on tumbling as well. What we are doing here might not be a sexy as high to highs and double ups but what we are doin more than gets the job done and is lv 5.

I appreciate the good luck wishes, but I got two kids throwing up today so got to get to it...

Again best of luck to all the remaining teams here in Detroit.

well this type of thing could potentially hurt his gym next season. If he doesn't release the athletes, potential next season athletes might not even bother trying out for the program in fear he may never release them. They may decide to start the season out at another gym.

Ok I know I am late here, but can someone explain about the coach and not releasing athletes. Def. got my curosity up.
