We drive by 2 gyms to get to ours. It is only about 30 minutes with no traffic. I am not sure about 3 or 4 hour!

They have to fly to get to practice? How many days a week do yall practice? and man, thats dedication and great parents right there!

Yes, they would fly. Generally, they would only attend the weekend practice and not the weekday practice. But the coach would film the choreography & routine changes and they were responsible for knowing everything when they attended the next weekend. We've also had some move to Birmingham and live with families.

I know other gyms have had that as well.

Thats awesome!!

I did the same..went to a few gyms in maryland and figured you know what the almost 2 hour drive to maryland twisters was MORE than worth it so switched gyms:) one of the best decisions i've ever made in my life/my mom since she drove me:p lol I almost wanted to join their open team..and I live in ottawa, on canada which is an 8 hr drive. If you think it's worth it and it makes you happy and you can make the commitment etc ..I say go for it:)

Traveling to gyms is so worth it! Especially in my case where it was just my sister and I, and we recruited about 5 other girls to join us! So carpooling definitely helped! We were about an hour away from the gym, drove past 2 other gyms on the way. It was awesome overall because we all had gotten our first National Champion jackets! :D

theres a girl in Senior elite that flys in from Orlando every week
Does she still fly in? I thought she stayed with @mstealtoyou for a while and did online schooling? Idk that's just what I had heard. Either way she's amazing and I hope to see her on the mat with SE next year too! :)

Our daughter Laney lives in Cali but is trying to get us to somehow to travel too World Cup since that´s her favorite team! No clue how but I guess when she is 12 will see...:)

CA Wildcats has Dave who is an Aussie!! He is an amazing athlete and asset to the gym!! Sad to see him leave after Worlds.

I cheer at Cheer City United in Little Rock AR and I drive 3 hours twice a week just to get to the gym then 3 hours twice a week to get home!! I love cheer so that makes the drive not so bad.

I think over an hour and half would be too much. thats 3 hours there and back like, 2-5 days a week every week.
