I can understand the complaining about the schedule being ran behind ONLY if they started late. If they started on time and ran behind because of injuries & pukes then I don't think you guys should be complaining. It takes time to take care of injuries and clean mats. No, I didn't go to worlds, but I was a bit annoyed by all the complaints about them running behind schedule. Be patient.
I mean, there was 1 puker on the 2nd team of the day. There were only about 2 injuries that required time stoppage on the floor on day 1, and they were running an hour and 15 minutes behind. And then taking full breaks. Why not use those breaks to get back on schedule.. I understand the judges need to eat and whatnot, but let's work with a purpose here people. You're getting paid to be here.

I don't think I've ever seen so many flyers hit the mat with the spotter standing right next to them. Now i know they can't catch everyone but please atleast make an attempt.

Well you were there and I wasn't, but I did read above that the breaks were cut short.

Anyone who was in the fierceboard section remembers the drama with the family who sat right in the middle of all of us. Now, that's fine. I don't have an issue with that. You can sit wherever you want. But day 2 one of my friends (someone who posts here) tried to sit down in the mothers seat when she had gone to the bathroom. There was a bag in the seat so she only sat on the corner of it. The father said "DON'T TOUCH THAT BAG, there is fragile stuff in there." She responded and was genuinely sorry. She apologized a few times and asked to sit in the seat until the mother came bag. The father GRABBED HER WRIST and held it and said "DON'T YOU TALK TO ME LIKE THAT". Like......in what world is it anywhere near ok to grab someones wrist and jerk them around while they apologize for sitting NEAR a bag with "fragile" items in it????

Then toward the end of day 2, the entire family was there. They were in the front row so they had someone sitting at their feet on the ledge. The mom yelled at the person sitting at her feet saying "DON'T HIT MY KNEE! I had surgery!" The person apologized over and over again but once again it blew up. They were arguing back and forth until the mom called security. Security moved the mother and her daughter to VIP seating in front of the judges for the remainder of the day!!!!! WTF!!!?!?!?

WOW.

Counts AGREE MORE. "you cant sit in the walk ways" Well where in the WORLD do you expect people to sit?!?! So so so annoying. or better yet they would say "Theres a big screen outside" Yeah i know theres a big screen outside but i didnt pay 50 bucks to sit outside all day.[/quote]

I'm sure you already know it's a fire hazard. They are just doing their job. THEY HAVE RULES TO FOLLOW TOO:)
Some people just don't understand how frustrating it is to have that kind of job. This reminds me of the ugly attitudes I had to deal w/ at 6flags when I had to tell people they couldn't block walkways, couldn't bring their stroller into the building or couldn't record shows. Rules are rules for reasons guys. It's either follow the rules or get fired..

They werent the nicest people ever. I kept asking people if that lady was from the boards all sunday..and no one knew. Everyone knows the left side of the worlds arena always has the best/craziest fans...so if you cant handle it, DONT sit in it :)

Isn't it a backspots job to catch the flyer? I've seen a lot of flyers start to come down and those fantastic bases push them back up in the air. If the spotters come in and save it, it's a deduction isn't it? It's a fine line they have to play.

Idk if someone said this or not but the argument about people saying it's so bad that people are buying tickets and aren't getting seats and what they paid for and yaknowwww...saying that they should monitor the amounts of seats to the amounts of tickets sold...but if I were going as a spectator, got to the door, and they told me "Oh sorry you can't come in. There's no more seats left" and I couldn't AT LEAST watch the screens inside, I'd be livid. just sayin'.

I CANT STAND PEOPLE WHO THINK THIS. It is the entire groups job to catch the flier. When I am coaching and see the bases still holding onto the feet of the flyer and the back is the only one catching I get livid!

I understand your post and i understand they have rules to follow too, but lets be real. There are over a thousand people in that building and if there was supposedly a fire, could you imagine how chaotic that entire place would be? Like someone posted earlier, we would all die anyways. There are entirely too many people at worlds, I feel each year there are more and more...

Agreed. It is so hard to be that person that says "please, parents exit to the right, dont sit here, dont stand there, etc." I can only be yelled at so many times.
However, We sat right behind the coaches who were playing the music or waiting for their team to go on. There was one employee, a tall blonde guy who was supposed to be controlling the crowd. Can I just say he was a complete waste of space. He sat down many times to chit chat with one particular blonde and was yelled at by his co-workers a number of times. At that point, you might as well cut your losses and get rid of him. Why pay someone who is clearly not doing their job and yells at other employees simply because they asked him to stand up in his position ready to go? I think my mother and I did more crowd control. "Youre not going to be able to sit there. Those seats are reserved for coaches." Loved all the eye rolling we got. Hey, just trying to save you time so you can quickly find a seat. Why on earth would 20 seats be open in one of the best spots in the stands??
