Last year our coach divided the kids in pairs...they had to learn ten things about eachother and make a drawing showing those ten things...the kid with the best drawing got a gift card...:)

-whirly ball
-beach outings
-barbeques: we spray painted shirts and played softball and all that stuff
-lock-ins at the gym

Sleepovers, christmas parties, 3 day camps out of town with cheerleading activity but mostly bonding, lake party, jersey shore dress up party

cheer sleepover at the gym! and also when my coach had us paired up with random person one practice! we had to do everything together!
If they do stunting get them in stunt groups and have them make a stunt sequence up. This makes the sunt group more like a family and the flyer trust them a lot more!

I've done sleepovers at the gym, at people's houses and pool parties. My favorite was at a sleepover where we did this game where you have 6 questions that everyone answers. The first question is like what's your favorite movie, color, food, stuff like that. But once you got to question 3 it's like who is someone who has influenced your life the most or what's your most traumatic experience. Just really deep questions that brought us all together. By the end everyone was bawling, deep things really come out and you understand each other.

I was team mom last year and I wracked my brain for things I could do to help the team bond from my side of things.

Things I did:

Team Facebook page. This was private. The coaches posted practice videos for the kids to evaluate themselves. We posted our competitor videos, and parents posted their pictures and videos. I would find inspirational quotes and then the kids started finding them. It was nice to have a place for just our "family."

Our goal was to win Cheersport Nationals. I knew the kids had the talent and the bond, they just needed to believe in themselves. I bought a piece of pink glitter cardstock and cut out a big heart. I wrote BELIEVE in the middle and wrote all the kids and coaches names on the heart. I then cut the heart into 39 pieces (36 girls 3 coaches) and randomly handed the pieces out to each of the 39 people to wear in their cheer shoes. I told them they were 1 heart with 39 pieces. They won Cheersport and got the highest level 3 score! Some of the girls told me that the heart was their favorite thing and that they will always keep their piece.

sleepovers at the gym, tye dying and scavanger hunts are my favorite team bonding activities!!! i also like going out to dinner as a team and playing games, like psychiatrist!

That is such a cool idea!!! :D

-Pass around a toilet paper roll and tell everyone to take as much as they need for a camp out. Then tell them to take apart the toilet paper and for as many sheets they have, they have to tell that many things about themselves.

-Get a whole bunch of riddles and split them up into groups of 3-5 and they have to say the riddle in the form of a rap.
