i'm from southern california, so it def gets hot here, and i prefer wearing t shirts. with a sports bra, the sweat just clings to your body and it feels all nasty. t shirts seem to make it easier to breathe. or maybe i'm just weird...

for other people though, i have no opinion. i say just wear whatever makes you the most comfortable and able to practice to full potential.

At our gym, we wear the team tshirt and black shorts, I think we are getting sports bras this year and the thought of sports bras just makes me want to work harder and condition more so that I can have abs for when we do get them
A bit off topic, but does anybody else find that when you have uniform practices, catching the flyer is difficult because the two fabrics slip from each other?

i perfer to wair sports bras, but if i am getting spotted for tumbling i need to have a shirt on. it could be 100 digrees but if im getting spotted there will be a tshirt on my back.

i do think people should wair sports bras once in a while to get use to there body. thhey half to go on stage with there bellys out, might as well start feeling confy at prac befor the stage !

wear* ;)

I deffinitely like wearing sports bras, especially in Dallas (texas) where it gets up to 100 degrees about every day and is soooo humid, you better believe i'm wearing a sports bra!!

At my gym we can wear whatever we want.. Sports bras, tanks, tees.. But we have like practice wear ad you could choose between a tanktop or a sports bra to wear, they look the same only the tanktop is longer. I personally prefer a sports bra because it's more comfortable and easy to tumble and stunt in and well in the summer it gets REALLLYY hot!

i don't wear sports bras to practice because i'm too fat. lol. i think people would look at me weird if i wore a sports bra to practice (since only the really skinny girls do that). in the uniform, i just have no choice and have to show my stomach.

I always bring a shirt in my bag with me but I practice in a sports bra because TG practice in 105 degree weather without air conditioning? And when there are summer rainstorms the humidity makes it even worse! A shirt is just not practical. Maybe one or two people manage to have a shirt on the entire practice. It's just too hot. Everyone has showered in their own sweat within the first 15-30 minutes. Most people bring towels to dry themselves off with throughout practice, or they use the shirt they knew they wouldn't end up wearing.

No matter what im wearing weather it be a t-shirt or a tank i always find myself taking it off so i just dont wear them anymore. Cause Its hard to tumble with a t-shirt on and it gets hot. Unless its winter and its freezing in the gym i wear just a sports bra

yes i am!!!
Kitten, you're not fat. Your body is amazing. Think of all the wonderful things your body can do, and it can do all those things because you are the shape you are. Some people are genetically smaller, some are larger, but if you're a cheerleader, then hell no, you are NOT fat. You are fit, you are muscly and you are beautiful.

(And even if you were, there's nothing wrong with being fat. There are many girls on my team who are very fit, but are just made out of a bigger mould and carry more weight on them. I don't think any less of them, or think they don't deserve to take their tops of when it's hot in the gym.)

Just because it's hot doesn't mean I take my shirt off.
Its the gym, not the pool.
Cover it up ladies, a little sweat is good for ya;)

Why do you think a lot of athletes practice in sweats, it keeps you conditioned, if you can practice hot and miserable, you can rock it out at a comp!

ESPECIALLY FOR MINI, YOUTH, and JUNIOR!!! Keep your kids covered up!!!!! You never know!!
