There was talk in the descussion thread about this and no one seemed to know how Courtney made it legal if it is indeed legal what they did. I think once a better video comes out (one that is more clear) it may be easier to see what they do to make it legal.
It is obvious that it is only a bump, flip and a catch with no separation which is clearly illegal by the rules but I hope there is a Gray area b/c theres a lot you can do with this stunt!!!

I can't be the only one who started bawling as soon as Mini Elite had 'Who Says' by Selena Gomez..'cause the first thought that popped into my head was how we always say the younger teams are just as important as the Worlds teams, and it was like the music was reminding them the coaches feel the same way.

I will say-there's nothing I don't like about CEA this year..all the teams, from Mini Elite to Coed Elite and everybody in between have AWESOME really energetic routines. Great music, great potential..you can almost SEE the clean lurking through the nerves. As though they've got it down synced, but the first-time jitters showed through. You know, for everybody who was saying SE's music doesn't sound like 'them' I disagree. It's got that same heartfelt energy with a bit of an edge reminding you they're not going to let themselves sit happy with bronze..they're gonna fight tooth and nail for that gold globe. And steal your heart doing it..

LADY OWLS FTW. I want a Lady Owls shirt. That is all..

With fans like this how can you not be happy to be part of CEA. But in skimming these threads briefly over the last 10 minutes I must say that there is a lot of good discussion and all pretty fair. Now, yesterday was not a great day for SE or one kid I know well, but hey she tumbled .;)

That aside, I think I have been pretty upfront on where they are and what they will need to do and how long it will take to get there. I was hoping for a bit better kickoff, but in all honesty, this will motivate them to put it all on the practice floor so they can get it to the competition mat. The full outs in practice are better than what you saw yesterday, but when I was playing a lot of golf I was a pro on the practice tee. Who knows, but I think they know they are on the way but will have to double down from here on out. I can tell you they will compete this weekend on Saturday, and I suspect the product will be a bit different in both skills and execution. I foresee an accelerated practice shedule.

I think SE's routine showed potential, and better yet, it showed that they aren't going to play it safe with the stunting. They're really pushing the envelope and I think that was missing last year. And don't let that "one kid" you know ;) get down on herself. She motivates one of my senior flyers more than you'll ever know, and I think she's really learned a lot watching her. :)

I have a feeling it may be something like the prone position fiasco last season where it is interpreted one way by some and another by others.

old ladieessss <333 i love the whole thing from the kick doubles through jumps. best voiceover ever.
and i'm LIVING for Sharks. i'm so excited to see them this year!

ALL teams from CEA did phenomenal! I can't wait to see what SSX, SE, CE, and JCE has in store for us once they get tightened up. Props to all the teams that put their routine out on the mat this past weekend, I think we can all agree new routines full out are not always perfect. I can truly say that I see what I saw with Senior Elite in 2009-2010 season, they have that passion (though they never lost it) and its obvious they aren't going out with out a fight. @StarshipTrooper wish Senior Elite and Maddie good luck this weekend! Forever teal.

I agree with you! I hope that someone from Usasf will get on here and clarify this one before the first competitions. Props to SE for putting it in the routine. Wish all teams well this year around the world!
