Many years ago when I was like 12, my team had gotten a deduction for using profanity at the safety spotters when they got in the way of the stunt. 1. Who else has had some off the wall deductions and 2. Can they even deduct for this?

What about the whole bows/ shoes falling off? how much of a deduction is that?
In our province, for school cheerleading if you lose a shoe and don't put it back on and continue the routine, you get disqualified. You aren't allowed to preform tumbling, jumps or stunts without proper footwear. Thats why they stress to teams that if someones shoe falls off during competition not to throw it off the mat because that person will need to put their shoe back on to finish the routine.

The bow/shoe thing is only a deduction if it is stepped on or is in the way during the routine. but if it falls off in the dance or something and its not in the way. its okay. ive seen people grab them and throw them off the floor so they're out of the way.

at my teams competition a few weekends ago a flyers shoe fell off after our opening stunts and was in the middle of the floor for pretty much the whole routine and we didn't get a deduction.

Maybe her fallen shoe was considered in the way. I am not sure, I just know everyone kept going & pretended like it never came off. After, we were told their was a deduction for it.

yeaah as long as its not in the way. but if her shoe was being stepped on or tumbled over, it could be a deduction.

thats what im saying, like i'm pretty sure it was tumbled over. Like it was in the middle of the floor and we never got a deduction. I think it just really depends on the competition brand
