I love my CP. I've been wanting to make her a "2x2" type video of her '10-'11 season for a while but never took the time to sit down and put it all together. Well, I finally finished and she LOVES it. I also included a preview of her first season with Supercells at the end. It was fun to look back and see how much see enjoys this sport.

She is a fierce little thing, love the attitude! So cute!

I've always mental blocked on tumbling, and for the past 6 months I wouldn't throw anything other than a standing backhandspring and jumps to handspring. Running Tumbling scared me to death. Well I'm proud to say that last week I got my standing mulitples and roundoff back handspring. And last night I threw running multiples, ro, bhs stepout ro bhs, and standing bhs stepout ro bhs :) There's no better feeling than overcoming a mental block!

So around this time last year, I started this thread. I am so happy to see all the improvement and encouragement by others on this thread! Congratulation to everyone on your new skills, regained skills and all accomplishments! Keep posting :-D

Yesterday I got the shock of my life. My cp had a stunt private she was sharing with a friend of hers. One of the older boys from our FAME Legends team just finished up with a tumble private in another gym and came down to hang out and watch. We'll call him Tito haha. While my cp would fly, Tito would work on some tumbling with her friend. And vise versa. Although, my cp said she really didn't feel like tumbling but she would just mess around. Well, after they were done stunting, Tito came out and asked my cp's friend's mom if she wouldn't mind sticking around for a few more minutes to work on some more tumbling passes. She agreed and I just sat with her and talked. Then my cp says "maybe I'll throw a few passes"....boy did she ever....

This was one of her first passes.

We told her 3 times would seal the deal...here's her last pass

I am so proud of her!!!

So proud of my cp right now. Tonight she threw her running robhs x 2, and a back walkover bhs step out round off bhs! We have no idea where this tumbler came from! Her goal is to go for 3 tomorrow night at tumbling so she can start getting spotted on a tuck.
We had resolved ourselves to taking next season off to work on her tumbling, if she gets her tuck...no season off for me...lol
Her hope is that she will get a long pass for NCA, fingers crossed for her!

I'm still working on my standing tuck. Never been a tumbler. I haven't got it down yet but I'm letting different people spot me boys and girls (not only my coach anymore) and I'm kinda proud of myself. I'm also giving myself a small pat on the back for not giving up yet and still working on it. It has gotten better so far but I still need a spot.

For some of y'all who may remember I posted a thread months ago in regards to my daughters tumbling being slow and she was going to lose her pass if she didn't speed it up.
However she did lose her pass in the running tumbling section but it wasn't because of her speed (she got that fixed as i posted a month or so ago) but they changed it and had her tumbling with someone else so she only is doing a front walkover, RO, BHS, BHS. She was sad at first because it wasn't as long but she understood it was a team thing.

Well anyways she was in the pyramid previously but we changed it too and it just wasn't working. So she was going to hide behind it because she is to small to base any of them.

So on Tuesday we had an extra practice and she asked the coach to watch a pass she made up. The coach did and then as the coach was walking away jaylen said do you think I can tumble in front of the pyramid and the coach said yes. I never seen my daughter get so happy about any place in the routine as she did that. So we competed this weekend and she did this tumbling pass:

Running round off, BHS, BHS, BHS step-out.
Then front walkover, round off, BHS step-out, round off, BHS, BHS

She told me that tumbling is better then flying in a pyramid and she is so happy. She already had these skills so it's nothing new but it is so cute.

Now all we have to work on is the step after her front walkover and show her how to clean to the crowd because the ending was ugly lol. She will get there.

First of all she is adorable! It's so exciting when they get skills they have been working so hard on, I thought I was going to pass out when mine tumbled last night
Our coaches tell the girls to "be the steak", I can't remember what the analogy they used was but it equates to the girls really selling it to the judges. Phoebe started out with just cleaning to her hips and smiling, now she thinks she's on Shooting Stars. What really brought her out of her shell was taking private lessons with two girls from Panthers when we were at CA. She would watch them run parts of their routine and started copying them.
She has gotten out of control though, one of her coaches loves to tell a story about how her "fierceness" made her completely miss a stunt going on behind her....that she was supposed to be front spotting. She was to busy doing a voice over to the judges:rolleyes:

Lol I love that! She has never had enough time to do it in running tumbling so she hasn't really had to remember to do it. This is day 1.. And she said she couldn't stop looking at the pyramid because she didn't think it would hit.

Now on day 2 after seeing this I reminded her and she showed me what she was going to do and everything and it was so cute but on day 2 the pyramid came crashing down. Both sides and when she landed she had the best facial expression it looked like she just saw a ghost and she just stared at the pyramid. I wish I was closer on day 2 because I would of totally uploaded it but you can't really tell in the video I have from that day. But hey maybe next competition she will remember I will say this season as far as all the other parts of the routine she is really Starting to show personality with the facials and I loveeee it!

I would love to see your daughter perform I bet she is sooo cute!! & congrats on her new skill! She will be able to do 3 or more in no time!!!:)
