I just wonder what would happen if they eliminate this division...all three teams will compete medium and then the medium division will become just like the large, where no one wants to compete medium because they know they cant win against, F5, SE, SS, and Panthers.

I'm glad someone finally realized that!

i think if CEA HITS their routine then they will win but they havent had a flawless routine yet so idk:/ if CEA doesnt hit then i think is world cup. im in love with them this year....theirs something about there routine this year that makes me love it because in the past i wasent a world cup fan:D

well this division didnt used to be this small. woodlands elite generals, maryland marlins, fame super seniors, stingrays, and i think california allstars all had large all girl teams. but honestly they never won anywhere. if F5, senior elite or WCSS were competing against any of the other teams they pretty much dominated. so i look at this division and see the best of the best 3 teams competing. and on any given day any of the 3 teams can take or lose it just like that.
I don't think California has had a large all girl.

I want to Starts to break the curse and take both NCA and Worlds. But because of this whole curse business, I won't be torn up if they don't win at NCA.

I don't think teams are now in medium because they are "scared" of the big three. I think it is more feasible for more gyms to field teams that are at 30 kids, or close to that, than it is to field a team of 36 kids. OR to compete with 25 kids and be able to compete with a team of 36. You can compete 25 against 30 MUCH better than against 36. So I think that if large "goes away"...medium will remain a big division and entice more gyms to go larger rather than cut kids and go small. 30 is just an easier number to field and compete with against teams that are larger than 20, but not as large as 30. Yes, for a bit, WC, CEA and F5 MAY dominate that division...but I think with teams like Fame, Rays, WE, CA Panthers, Cali, etc. in there, you will see a lot more competition for first place than just F5, CEA and WC...as Panthers proved at the Majors....

Honestly, I think it's between Shooting Stars and f5. SS to me is the sharpest and cleanest in everything they do. But, F5 just serves me everything I need and more. It would be nice to see F5 actually win NCA. But, I'll be happy with whoever!

That's kind of the beauty of this division. So much talent that it is easy to be happy for any of them but my money is on Shooting Stars this year!

I have to disagree with you, PCM Andrew. I think F5 is sharper and cleaner, not only with motions but with flyers' body positions and formation transitions as well. All three teams are SOOOO good, but I think this is what sets F5 apart.

Not to mention, There used to be well over 20 teams in this division. I think in 2006 one of the top teams now didn't even make it to finals. So anything is possible. People just need to enter it in there.

The one disadvantage will be to the gyms that have a large and a medium (which is every gym with a large). WC wouldn't have enough teams for all of the athletes that come to them. And same with CEA i'm sure. Right now in senior level 5, WC has 96 athletes. If it goes to just small and Large (with large being 30), then they will only be able to take 80 athletes unless they somehow get an influx of boys to create 2 coed teams.

I have never thought about that...

Or maybe some of those level 5 kids are really level 5 restricted or even level 4 kids that are there for a "role"...they could be placed on a restricted 5 or level 4 team if need be. This isn't about what is good for a few gyms in my mind, it is what is good for growth of the sport and growth of competition within divisions. I see your point...I just think where there is a will, there is a way. And gyms will adapt, just like they always do with rules/division changes/improvements!

^ I would love to...but it's not my place to disclose the information. You are an educated poster though...so I would not be surprised if you figured it out if you put some thought into it.....
