This thread was a lot of fun last year!, and I know it was very helpful for everyone who was travelling to Worlds for the first time as a competitor or a spectator!

DO:
-Cheer for every team, especially for the international teams as they do not have as much family memebers/friends/fans there to cheer for them!
-Clap for all teams dances as it makes the teams more pumped up!

DON'T:
-Talk smack about other teams or athletes as you never know who is sitting around or beside you!

I was literally about to type this EXACT same forum!! great minds ;]!!

Do:
- bring your phone charger to the milkhouse, its a must.
- sing along with music since the first 6 rows on both sides will be doing it.
- wear comfortable clothes, just sayin 14 hours in tight jeans will get uncomfortable.
- have a seat buddy to save your seat, there are seat hawks everywhere!
- make sure your in your seat 3 teams before a big team goes on, the section doorways get packed.
- make friends with security, it pays off.

Don't:
- come drunk to the competition, its not cute.
- give away seats that aren't yours.
- drink to much, bathroom lines are crazy.
- yell at security, i know from experience, its bad.
- over pack, you wont wear half of the things you pack anyways.
- go and have a bad attitude. its worlds, HAVE FUN!

ill think of more and post as i do.

DO:
- Streak across the stage if your favorite team is about to drop a stunt! They get to restart!
- Use as many guys as you want if you're on an international team.....apparently that's okay nowadays
- (For Milkhouse staff) double check all electrical wires. Triple check if Tsunami's about to go on!
- Get pics with all the international teams. They LOVE IT! Most of them have flown so far and they are so excited if you ask for pics!

Don't:
-Stalk cheerlebrities. If you want a picture I'm sure they'll take it with you, but act like you've been there. Don't follow them around and be creepy. Same goes for big gym coaches.
-Badmouth teams that beat you on twitter. It's unclassy and the weirdos that stalk twitter will look for any sign of an insult and blow it way out of proportion.
-Act all surprised when a team that wins starts screaming when the 2nd place team gets called. It will inevitably happen and then somebody will start a thread about it and said thread will be locked within a day. It never fails to happen every year.

Do get all your shirts the first day.
&
Dont sit on the first row in the fierceboard section and complain the whole time about people wanting to sit by your feet.

DO : Give credit to where it is due. If the team puts on a great performance have the respect for cheering for them or atleast clapping. I do know A Couple Of HIGH Caliber teams that get a lack of cheer that deserve better. (Cheer Athletics Panthers worlds 2011) is an example. Also Gymtyme Pink from worlds last year is another example. Anyway, have respect for good Cheerleading and the hard work that is put in.

DONTS : Bad sportsmanship.

If you fly-----DO NOT put your uniform in checked luggage!!!!! Bring uniform, shoes, and anything else you wear on the mat in your carry on luggage!

Do Bring a left and a right shoe in the same size.

Do Email yourself your music so you have a back up copy in you inbox.

Do Not plan family functions and visits to relatives while you are there to compete. Competition is the first priority...coaches may need to call extra practices or longer meeting times.

Do Not eat dipping dots and sodas all day before you compete....you will throw up on the mat.

Do Bring water every where you go.....stay hydrated.

Do Not try to complain about another teams score sheets or deductions....officials will only talk to your registered coaches about your registered teams.

Do Not lose your park passes!!!!!!

Do come see me and give me a Hi 5! :)

Do wear sunscreen if you are practicing outside but don't get crazy with it. Could be dangerous stunting.

Do come cheer for ACX large coed 5 because we will have NO ONE there. Most parents are not coming because of cost. :)

Bring a back pack to keep everything together when you are moving from place to place. Prevents losing ID (especially if you are flying)

...............If I think of more I will post later. Good Luck everyone. See you there.

DO: Bring lots of T-shirts and bows to trade!
DO: Meet new people, especially the International teams- this is a totally different competition experience for them!
DO: Pack your uniform/shoes in your carry-on (someone mentioned this above but its really smart- you never know!)
DO: Buy one the Mickey cup/ mug things, so much easier if your staying at allstar
DO: Be classy, represent your self, your gym, and your country well- this includeds before the competition, during, and after... the block party...
DO: Update the fierceboard/ twitter as much as possible for all of us stuck at home :)

I hope you all have an amazing time!

DO: socialize with the people sitting around you, they might save your seat when you go to the toilet
DO: bring a drink for the person who saved your seat
DO: cheer for EVERY TEAM
DO: talk with people wearing a fierceboard shirt

DONT: forget to shout hit-hit-pull
DONT: spill drinks or drop food on the seats!

For those at home:
DO come to chat, because we are baller and make staying at home suck less.
DO understand that chat is like the fierceboard, but smaller, so therefore the concentration of upsettedness when your team doesn't win can be dramatically increased.

DON'T be annoying in chat or I will cut you.
And if you're at Worlds:
DON'T THROW UP ON THE MAT. Because it takes forever to clean and we're on a schedule here.

Ack! I'm a middle-aged mom ... how do you chat?

After UCA, I want to let EVERYONE know that into the Jostens Center the Entrance is DIFFERENT, it's on the side of the building, NOT through the food court, NO they will not let you pass and NO they don't care if you coach the team or your daughter is on in 1 minute, even if it's RAINING so DO: Bring your Umbrella. Also, I'm not sure if they will use the same "Varsity" tent, but team entry can be confusing but its in the back parent entry is front.

In regards to your "hopper pass", AS SOON AS YOU GET IT, take a picture of the back with your phone in case you lose your pass you can show that and they can scan it in case it's lost.

Not necessarily do's and don'ts but a heads up.

I'm going to repeat it for emphasis, MAKE SURE you take a picture of the back of your park pass, email it to yourself, send it to a friend who's with you also (incase you lose your phone). Make sure the bottom numbers are clear. If you lose it and have a picture with those numbers, they will replace your pass.
