I don't understand why people are saying this is going to level the playing field, those girls on F5 will throw those fulls just as good as they throw those doubles. That would be like the NCAA saying no more 3 point shots in basketball because not everyone can do them so it will level the playing field.

Because you get points for advanced skills, in particular a majority of them doing it. Its very likely that craptastic Sr small can have 20 fulls just as SSX can. No advantage!

In regards to your NCAA 3pt statement, you obviously don't watch basketball. Without the 3pter certain teams cannot compete.

Quite a few things. I highly support the age grid and division changes. I think as there is little discussion or argument about those they made sense. Those did not need to follow the process as we made changes last year so they are within the bounds of our current system.

Outside of the statement about males I do support the 'idea' of the image code. I think it needs refinement, but they also gave plenty of time to make adjustments if needed.

I wish they would wait one more cheer season to enforce the new age grid. Many gyms including the one we are at have already started practicing with their new teams.

Guess who is liking the rule changes? Small gyms with no guys and only girls who have no standing or doubles. And if they keep giving out 10 billion at large bids to worlds, now every gym can compete at worlds.
Only we got hit with the bottom age limit, I now have to figure out how to divide a team of 13 into 2 teams. While I'm not against it small gyms will hurt from some of these rules too

Small gyms definitely don't like the age change.

well can you tell me if my comment is rude? i shouldn't of put it up. its just my opinion and it was an accident when i pushed post. I'm new and did not know how to take it down.

I have been wondering this all along and am glad you asked it. In my experience injuries due to stunting (in the form of flying elbows by flyers, etc.) are more common than tumbling injuries.
Excellent point. I have seen a lot of level 5 stunts come crashing down this year. I know of three kids that have had wrist or ankle injuries this year at various gyms but this is never brought up. Another reason I believe there is a hidden agenda or simply a detachment within the USASF currently.
