I know that at least one of the teams that received an at large this weekend was told to make reservations awhile ago. Not sure what their plans were if they didn't get it though!

Yeah I would hope that if they didn't get it then they would get a refund on whatever money they had to pay to make the reservation.
As a parent if I hadn't been saving for an at large bid I would be sweatin it to come up with it so close to worlds.

For those teams who are just now getting at large bids, have they been saving money thinking they will get an at large bid or do they have to just magically find this money now that they have one? It sounds crazy to get an at large bid a month before worlds and have to pay all of that so quickly.

execution execution execution. i watched 5 alarm live, and even when they did express up libs, they all were holding the lib differently!! simple things like that make a big impact on judges. and bent legs in doubles are not pretty either.

You obviously were not watching 5 alarm perform!!!! Those girls have beautiful doubles!!!!! 5 alarms routine by far is more difficult and has more talent then most I have seen!!!

In regards to the whole BCE/Superstars chit chat... haven't we all been dying to see a beautifully executed routine all year? I know in other threads we discuss the issue of pushing the difficulty so hard that you don't get to see a routine that is truly executed well. Just from watching the level 5's this past weekend, day 1 I could count on 1 hand the amount of teams that "hit", and I don't even need the WHOLE hand! Don't get me wrong, I have tremendous respect for both teams and this is in no way an "a is better than b" conversation, just raising another point for discussion!
