Cheer Commandments:
Thou shalt not pick out your wedgie onstage.

Thou shalt walk tight every where you go.

Thou shalt not drop your flyer.

Thou shalt point your toes in everything you do.

Thou shalt not say the word "can't".

Thou shalt smile and be energetic and perform like a diva.

Thou shalt not cry, whine or complain.

Thou shalt have sharp motions and correct placements.

Thou shalt not take the name of the coach in vain.

Thou shalt love thy neighbor and teammate.

**These are mine. You only get 10!

I couldn't think of 10 b/c I'm so tired, but I got 4. Maybe I'll finish tomorrow lol

Thou shalt not throw a pass that you barely hit a practice just because you think you'll be able to pull it off when it matters.

Thou shalt not add extra choreography/gestures/etc while transitioning.

Thou shalt not cheer or clap if the team you're going against makes a mistake, if anything, think it.

Thou shalt defend us cheerleaders when someone claims what we do isn't a sport.

These are brilliant and great timing. I was just working on reintroducing the gym rules after a two week break (things had started to slip before the break) and this is a great idea to do it in a fun but serious way.

Here is mine, I've adapted/nicked some of yours cupieqt if that is ok

1. Thou shalt only wear thy cheer shoes in the gym and not outside.
2. Thou shalt stretch for 20 mins every day.
3. Thou shalt come to ALL training on time and wearing the correct kit.
4. Thou shalt not say the word “can’t”.
5. Thou shalt have a positive attitude and not cry, whine, complain or strop.
6. Thou shalt smile and be energetic and perform like a diva!
7. Thou shalt not drop thy flyer
8. Thou shalt stay tight and sharp in all thy does
9. Thou shalt not leave thy bags/clothes all around the gym.
10. Thou shalt love thy stunt group and teammates.

In fact this is going out to them all tomorrow :)

Thou shall not bring your ex-boyfriend/ex-girlfriend/new girlfriend drama on the mat!
Thou shall not go skiing, snowboarding or engage in extreme sports within 6 weeks of any competition!
Thou shall not find a janktastic tumbling coach outside the gym to "get ahead" on skills your qualified coaches say you're not ready for yet!
Thou shall not ditch practice to watch an episode of Dance Moms!
Thou shall not continue to be a member of the team on "principle" if you actually "quit" in your heart in October!
Thou shall fight to keep your stunt in the air at all costs for the 2:30 that counts!
Thou shall not make a vacation of traveling cheer competitions and forget what you're actually there for!
Thou shall remember that "on-time" means you're late and "early" means you're on time.
Thou shall not order other cheerleaders to "get to the gym and workout" when you don't do it yourself.
Thou shall not be anything less than the epitome of sportsmanship when wearing team colors

And I'm throwing this one in because it's the most important one....

Thou shall not eat Taco Bell prior to throwing double fulls in the gym.

Just sayin'

These made me LMAO!!!!

Love these!!!!!!

2. Thou shalt stretch for 20 mins every day.
Would you believe my cp was told to not stretch so much. She was really working on her flexibility for her jumps and apparently it is possible to stretch too much and her ortho told her that was why her femur was "dislocating"( for lack of a better word) in her hip socket. My apologies to any in the medical field for my layman's explanation.

Love these!! Especially the part about staying on the team if your heart quit in October. I'd rather have CP compete one down than have that dead weight on a team. I believe in honoring a commitment to a team but there is a time (um October sounds good) that if you need to quit, then just do it and spare the rest of the team.

Everyone is replaceable. I just wish if you didn't have ANY interest in being there...and you're a FLYER.... That you might just throw in the towel so someone else can fill in. The vaaaast majority of every deduction this team got this year is because this child was completely uncommitted, wouldn't fight for a thing, came to practice....intermittently...and wouldn't stand up. Just their deductions alone was the difference in last place and a cheersport jacket. No lie. Needless to say, we pulled in the rear in Atlanta. I think they're officially gone now just in time for the last competition this weekend. Better late than never, but October sure would've been nice.

^^^^^^^^^^that is so incredibly maddening and so incredibly sad for the teammates.
