Quick question-I know Cheer Tech requires 90% of a program to be in attendance in order for a team to receive a bid. Is Cheersport like this as well?

Nope. We only had 5 of our ten teams there last year and got a bid.

That is why a large number of decent teams refuse to go to Cheertech's anymore. He makes the rules up and changes them when he wants.
Rules like that tell me it's all about money and not quality cheer. We don't have cheer tech in our area that I'm aware of but it doesn't sound like something we'd be in favor of attending.

Thanks for all the info. We are members of a brand new gym going to a variety of competitions by different companies, but I wasn't sure if they all had similiar rules. Our senior 3 and 5 teams are attending Cheersport.

You will love it! What gym? My son is on a sr 3 (small) and I like to cheer for fellow fierce boarders!

Wait, I thought he and your daughter were both on the same J4 team - is he double teaming? (So now you'll have to be in the gym all the time anyway, which you were looking forward to avoiding ;) )

ETA - I promise I'm not a crazy cheer stalker, lol. I just find your posts informative/humorous and so I remember you talking about this.
