Wait, I thought he and your daughter were both on the same J4 team - is he double teaming? (So now you'll have to be in the gym all the time anyway, which you were looking forward to avoiding ;) )

ETA - I promise I'm not a crazy cheer stalker, lol. I just find your posts informative/humorous and so I remember you talking about this.
Baha! You are correct! They are both on the J4 but his squadron commander and his coaches worked out a compromise to keep him in his squadron for the summer and make it so he was able to cross to the Sm Sr. CoEd 3 like they asked him to. He's really liking that team. It's the first time he's been on a senior team (been on young juniors his whole time) and where he likes the J4 because it really pushes him skill wise, he's really liking the atmosphere with older kids on the Sr3.

And far be it for us to actually NOT be in the gym 4-5 days a week

ETA: It IS bazaar for still being Junior age that he's actually the tallest one on the senior team. I think they needed a backspot and that's why they asked him to cross.

I don't know if we're going yet, but I hope we do! I felt left out last year!
I don't think CAC goes to cheersport nationals. They'll do the regional ones but I think the conflict of interest keeps them from attending in Atlanta. Not sure if they go to NCA instead but I haven't seen Charlotte (outside of the special needs team) at cheersport in the last two years. :(

I don't know...
Anyway, I'm hoping we go to some different comps this year. My cp was level 2 last season, which kept us out of NCA, etc. Only our level 5s went to those. The lower levels went to more of the smaller, local level comps. The ones we went to last year were fun, but I think a change of scenery and some more of the big ones would be interesting! We'll be finding out soon! Either way, we're looking forward to the season!

I'll be there with Carolina Crossfire from Columbia, SC. It will be my sisters last Cheersport and my nieces first Cheersport as a competitor (and my older sisters first as a spectator...and I am already dreading hearing her complaining and anticipating her disappearance to Lennox)

Outlaws usually go there but last year our io5 and io6 didnt go so i didnt go :( Ive never been to cheersport atl and i want to soo bad!! its on the schedule this year so **fingers crossed**

Cheer updates is tweeting WC odyssey, stars and starlites are coming as well as MD Twisters. Put that with SOT and I'm even more excited now than I was! Bring on the show!

I am chuckling to myself thinking CHEERSPORT may have outgrown it's venue, but it sounds like it may even be bigger than last year, and last year was too overcrowded outside of the competition arenas. The comp itself is so well run, but escalators had to be shut down because there were too many people on them and the bathrooms were more than disgusting (Note to CHEERSPORT staff - we know you are pulling in some dough over the weekend - hire additional staff to clean the bathrooms and replenish supplies please and thank you!!!) I was beside myself thinking of my 10 year old going to the bathroom while she was with her team.....no need to elaborate further, except to say I will be stocking backpacks with toilet supplies and disinfectant if we go to this comp again.
Back to the point of the thread - I love that so many big name gyms are going - it should be an amazing competition!
