All-Star Trends That Are Already Annoying

For me? Everyone thinking the board is ruined, or worse, or more dramatic than it used to be. It's always been the exact same. People come and go, the software gets better, theres a few more entries in the Wiki now, but in reality its the same place it has always been.

Those saying the boards are ruined must not of been on or really interacted on the old ProX Boards. There is simply no comparison. Kids will be kids and post kid type rants. Parents will be parents and defend their children, sometimes going way overboard in doing so. Coaches will be protective of their gym's brand and athletes. Fans will proclaim the team the best over any credible evidence to the contrary, living their lives through their team. Moderators will ban some. Some will leave on their own, or just stop posting. Friendships and alliances will be called into question. This board has been the best - or should I dare say - evolved to be the best of the boards that I have been on. It gives me what I want most - information on being a better coach, better info on rules changes, and changes in the industry that will impact not only my gym but could potentially impact my career, and that of my daughter should she get more involved in the industry.

This. Anyone who has been around message boards for any length of time knows that there will always be trolls and drama to go along with good humor and worthwhile discussion. It's the nature of the internet, yo.

Ok. I'm gonna say it. And this is not directed at one team's music this year or one program's music. This is a blanket statement. But I hate Hate HATE the trend music is taking. What happened to MUSIC?? All these singovers and voiceovers...there is no more music in cheer music! Even the songs are no longer the actual songs, they are "singovers". Ugh. Sorry, had to put that out there. No offense to any of the music mixers...I saw this "trend" starting last year, and it has just continued on that path. Not a fan. :help::wasntme:

Agreed. I don't necessarily hate it because I think it gives teams/mixers the ability to be really creative with music. But my favorites are always the mixes with less voiceovers and remixing and more songs.

ETA: So I guess reading this I don't really agree with the hatred of the new trend. More that I just still prefer the old style.

& I can't stand the word cheerlebrity, I cringe when I hear/see it.

People post "I'm leaving because my kids don't cheer anymore."... Kingston shimmies and says "Woo hooooo! Peace out J-a-M!"... and then they can't stay away, because this board is sooooooo much better than the dance board. Sorry, it wasn't an intentional lie. I just like you guys more!

***And side note I just noticed "Most Resplendent" and died. I love it.

I was half "My life is complete! Kingston shimmied me!" and half "Hey...wait a minute. Kingston is shimmying because I said I'm going away?"

But I couldn't stay gone. All my friends are still on here. And believe it or not, you guys keep me sane when my "real life" is a disaster.
