All-Star Trends That Are Already Annoying

All of these but especially the coaches that think they are parents. They're our kids and we decide what's right/wrong good/bad for our kids. Sorry if you don't like it, I'll just find another gym and so will everyone else that doesn't like it.
You know I was chatting with a friend about this last night, kind of ironic really. He coaches at a different gym and we were talking about their "typical" relationship with parents. I think it is a very difficult balance. Too much parent involvement can be damaging, not enough can be damaging but what is the "perfect" balance. Interesting chat. I don't think this answer is the same at every program but I've been involved with a few different programs and have friends at many gyms. I feel this balance is crucial in a gyms success.

Our gym has had a certain saying since it was open... Those aren't the only gyms in the world with secret sayings.

Right - I can name a few other teams, not just in all-star, who have had secret sayings for years. Not everyone is stealing the idea from CA.

Massive overreactions on social media / messageboards to early season performances. (either positive or negative) That is like predicting the SuperBowl winner based on their first preseason game.

THIS^^ I am already dreading reading the reactions after a showcase this weekend. I can already guess the screen names and quotes I am going to see. Also people acting like they "know" someone because they have seen there videos on youtube.

(cough, cough) celine dion
.....Nobody has mentioned Janet Jackson but whatever, we all know she's the real queen. (We can just ignore her last 2 albums).
Sorry y'all. I hate Mariah but she is the queen. Gaga will soon dethrone her
*cough* Britney *cough*

I'm sure either:
A) They did know. I'd bet you anything they typed in 'allstar cheer music' into youtube, found every mix that came up in top 10 (and we know that the popular worlds-contenders would be at the top of that search), and cut some of that music together. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I don't imagine there are lots of cheer music mixers in Jamaica. Or they'd know a major mixer to contact. Or that they felt their money was best spent that way.. OR
B) They didn't know. They hired out somebody who did the above or had someone else do it (family member who's good with a computer/music editing).

Either way it was awkward and you could tell they didn't like the mix. But as soon as music came on that they felt connected to/comfortable with, they ROCKED OUT.

University of Japan had Youth Elite music from 2009-2010............."You're in for a treat with Youth Elite" I cracked up laughing.

Totally off topic, but am I the only one that thinks a Korean team should have Gangham Style in their music with a voiceover that says, "You think you're fierce, the best of teams, except you don't know what this means!"

It's late....but I totally crack myself up.
