Why don't the two umbrellas have the same scoring? I've noticed that now gyms will only stick to one plan, but what about gyms and teams that do both? Like if a teams routine can score really well at NCA, it won't score the same at a Jam Brand event.

I think gyms pick one or the other based on scoring, and then go to the same events to get rebates on competition fees. However, if you have a solid routine, it should score well under either scoring system.

Universal score sheet is a usasf issue. These are separate companies. It's like telling Alex and visa to have the same benefits and rates. Not gonna happen.

Yeah, I understand that. I've always just wondered why they keep their score sheets different and not the same. They could still give people bonuses for following their specific brand still.

AMEN. You may not max out in places, however, overall, for the most part no matter what if you have a routine with variety, well executed, hits level appropriate skills, uses majority, etc, honestly overall your routine should score pretty well anywhere. Of course if you change every competition to score-sheet and don't lose your execution factor, that team may do better.

It's like how Allstar Challenge awards creativity and performance. It's a marketing choice to get people to their events. If I disagree with JamBrands and....I dunno, having to hit 5 body positions, I'll go Varsity, where it's not necessary to score in the high range. It offers customers a choice. Would I like to see a universal scoresheet? Absolutely. But I understand the reasoning behind it.

Ohhhhh I see now! That makes sense. Thank you!

We try usually make sure we hit the Jambrands score sheet for season, because that will pretty much cover anyone else. LOL Now just tell your kids to breath....
