What's the point of having a forum or even a videos thread and not discuss anything...even if it's a video and discussion forum/thread?

Like, c'mon suzy, hit your prep level tic-toc. Sorry not sorry.
There's a wiki if you want to just watch videos.

The only problem with the WIKI is that the videos aren't as updated as this thread. I do wish that there was a thread with just videos. Sometimes you get pages on this thread with no videos.

I typically enjoy SE's dances in the way I enjoy a good cup of hot chocolate. I don't need it to come from cacao beans hand-picked in the tradition of ancient mayans, being processed in a secret Belgian factory before being delivered to me in my bed by a Swiss person who tops it with whipped cream that's been beaten into peaks with the beating of fairy wings.

Otherwise known as- it's simple and it's calmly enjoyable and it gets the job done.

I LOVE their dance this year. They actually look like they're into instead of it being a fun, happy part. It's about as fierce a dance as I've seen them do, and I dig it.

i almost never post, but i had to take a minute off from lurking to say that this might be the best thing i've ever read.

also for the sake of staying relevant to the thread, orange is definitely serving it to me this year! normally i recognize how good they are but don't really enjoy watching them, if that makes sense. this year so far they're one of the teams that i want to watch over and over :)

now i'm gonna go make some hot chocolate.

theyve been doing that stunt since the beginning of 2011. i hate seeing teams do the same stunt or pyramid, etc. over and over again year after year, its not original, and it gets boring to watch personally, if you watch past worlds vids of them they tend to do certain stunts every single year, its just something that i personally cant stand. it may hit the scoresheets yes, but when you start doing the same crap year after year, the routine as a whole is very expected, which in turn makes it not exciting. i still stand by the fact regardless of the hate i may get that Stingrays care more about their reputation of winning, then taking bigger risks and having a unique routine every year.

You mentioned that its hard to see teams perform the same elements year after year, but also mentioned that Stingrays has been doing same stunt since 2011. Since its only been a year, I'm assuming that its safe for them to do a similar stunt this season. Across the board, most teams are doing the same elements, just adding small variations on the entry and dismount. The name of the game is consistency.

The amount of empty and available seats that many of you need to seriously consider taking is staggering.

This almost describes my thoughts completely.

yeah but id bet money (sarcasm...) on the fact that they'll continue to do that stunt for years to come..... im just big on teams coming up with new and exciting things to do each year, for me it just comes across as they were too lazy to think of something new so they're just going to continue to use the same stunt, voiceover, etc from previous years. cause it racks up points in their favor, its just a huge pet peeve of mine that i cant get over. :banghead: lol

im sorry but i have to agree with the few others and say that Stingrays Orange is WAY overrated, yes they've won a lot, but just because they're good right in the beginning of the season, doesnt mean that they're gonna win worlds again. theres a lot of other talent out there in that division this year, that personally i think could out do Orange. to be even more blunt, playing it safe like orange always has in the past i think will eventually catch up to them sooner or later.... i just wish that team would take bigger risks, i think they tend to care more about their reputation of winning then coming up with a creative difficult routine, like all the other teams.

Why fix what's not broken? I think they only year people could justifiably say they played it safe was 2011 because it was similar to 2010 - but in 2010, that routine was unstoppable. They have managed, in my opinion, to evolve with the trends while still playing to their strengths and giving you the "Rays" look. They get the difficulty points and they make it look effortless. If they came out with this whole brand new style, you know people on here would be like "Where is the Orange we know and love?"

Do all the other teams have 6 worlds titles in 1 division?

Oranges stunt is probably one of the best in their division, and it maxes out. You can call orange overrated, just remember who has the rings. ;)

Now i KNOW you arent calling oranges coaches lazy......

All the points you have made are honestly dumb. Can you just admit you dont like stingrays and move on. By all the posts youve made we know who you root for. Its obvious youre still bitter about years past.

Really? The voiceovers? That's what you are going to complain about? "SYS 1 Time" has been in the last two years. "I've got my spine, I've got my orange crush" was in for two years.... they are referencing traditions and sayings that are part of their team. I personally LOVE that all Rays teams still have the "Let's Go Rays" cheer in their routine because it's part of their identity (even with the variations). Are you going to be angry if CEA continues to reference "Teal" or "Teal Army" or Panthers say "BABS"? Voiceovers can take over songs, yes....but all of these have meanings to these teams.

Whatever, I'm getting cheese fries.
