I've been watching this video for a while now and would like to know if ANYBODY out there has any info on how to become a Dubai candidate? It's seriously been my dream for as long as I can remember and it would mean the world to me if anybody could let me know anything about the Dubai Candidate Program. Thanks so much! :)

This video, I'm 99% positive, was essentially these athletes "trying out" to go perform at an event in Dubai that CEA was invited to.

StarshipTrooper probably knows most of the details of the invitation. That video was just the kids who were interested in going to Dubai to perform. It ended up not happening (can't remember why). I know, I was a lot of help, NOT> LOL

I think everyone decided that sending a group of cheerleaders to the Middle East was even more dangerous than sending them to downtown Dallas and no one was willing to take that risk. I really do think it could have happened other than the safety questions. Just think of it, a large group of the TEAL ARMY in buses driving at night in Dubai with drones carrying Hellfire missles circling above at the ready. Kaboom.

why would CSP even consider doing this whole thing in the first place with her teams, with all the crap going on in the middle east. plus i could only imagine how much it would cost just to fly over there.

She was approached by the "EP" in Dubai with a deal including all expenses for travel, room, security and food and agreed upon entertainment covered by the "EP". Money and costs were never a concern. On paper it was a great opportunity for the kids to travel and see Dubai which is considered a travel destination without parallel in the world today especially for Europeans and Americans. She would have been negligent not to consider it and investigate and evaluate what on paper was a great opportunity. As I said, when considered no one could convince themselves about security with the instability in the ME. She goes outside the box, that was too far outside the box.

If she was considering it, it's one of the safest places in the ME. Dubai is a very progressive region but one of the safest. Americans, however, are NOT exempt from following certain customs. Shoulders, legs must be covered at all times even while on the beach. No public displays of affection of any sort. Other than that, the people are very receptive and engaging. I have done a lot of research on Dubai as I have always wanted to visit.

Exactly! I have a lot of American friends that live in Dubai and it seems like one of the safest places you could go to in the ME. I've always wanted to visit it seems like such a cool city!

They sent in a video, put themselves out there. Spreading a new and different sport to other regions isn't necessarily a bad thing, and I applaud Courtney Smith-Pope for doing at. Nobody has gotten nowhere in life by hiding away from opportunities. While the Middle East isn't exactly the zen capital of the world, it's nowhere near the state of other Middle Eastern countries. Regardless, the talent in this team is exceptional and this kids are achieving goals and enjoying it.
