I talked to their social media rep afterwards. She said they had a SF and I think a few tumbling issues. But the kids looked incredibly upset to just have those mistakes. Perhaps those deductions resulted in injury?
I have no clue what happened but, if I was on a team that constantly felt the need to prove itself to the entire cheer community, I would be disappointed with a less than perfect performance knowing that everyone would have something to say about my failure.

I heard that they awarded 2 bids to teams that already had bids. Maybe it's not true?

Are we talking Worlds bids? They announced Brandon Senior White as receiving an at-large bid, but they already had a paid. They're not getting two bids, someone else either already has or will receive that bid. With so many bids, it's just kind of hard to track all of them, but we'll find out soon enough if Cheersport updates their website or when the USASF updates their list.

We were able to watch their Jr. 2 team in the back during warmups and they were amazing!!!!
Thank you! That is one of the teams I am on at Vizion! We ended up in first! Yay! Thanks!:) Also- are you at Texas Lonestar if so, I warmed up to one of your teams. I think it was y4 or j4, AMAZING!

I assume the second part of your post is due to the fact that they obviously had a lot of crossovers and I am not intending to be rude, but I personally found your comment rather snarky, since it would appear you are making presumptions. Former cp having cheered at a small gym, I understand how hard- if not virtually impossible- it is to field a team that is across the board the appropriate level. You virtually always have a mix of kids who are at level, below level and a few that are above, because you are also having to deal with age restrictions. From looking at the videos, it appeared there were kids on the level 2 team that were barely that and they could have never fielded a complete level 2 athlete team, so what do you do - turn those kids away. No, you try your hardest to field a team to challenge your upper level kids while creating teams to allow a place for everyone. That being said, I do not like crossovers at all, but in the case of small gyms, I understand the necessity when they are trying to find a spot for all their athletes - especially with only 35 to start with. (not really relevant to this discussion, but our gym did not use crossovers, except in case of injury or an athlete leaving)

And I realize I am making assumptions as well that may not be founded.
this gym has lvl 5 kids on a j2 team. maybe if there was no way to avoid stacking the team this way, they should've kept it fair by not entering the sm gym division.

I may be misunderstanding your post, but a cheer gym has a social media rep ? I assume that is like a public relations position and that seems rather strange to me.

aggie1983 she is the mom of one of their athletes and runs their Facebook (and prob twitter etc) and does their website. IIRC it's how she makes her living. That is assuming I have the right person. :)

Not to mention impact on your job! It's too much. I understand for parents with kids competing in just one or the other, it would be fun. But both...yikes!!

yes, it is very hard. I really wish it wasnt the weekend right after worlds. I remember when this was brought up at the beginning of the season and i said... well those of us who have kids on multiple levels including a worlds level this would almost be impossible for us to do. thats asking a lot from us parents. I'm going to figure out a way some how!!! hope MER is doing good!!!!! :) see yall in dallas

I read through most of the thread but sorry if I missed it, does anyone have results for the lower levels as well. The cheersport site isn't updated with this years results yet. Any and all levels would be appreciated :D
