Just like it sounds. Partial paid covers some of the cost and if you're in the selected divisions (small senior, small coed) you get to skip prelims. Not sure of the exact amount, I'm sure someone could tell you. At large pays nothing, you just get to compete.

A Medium Coed team just won a full paid bid. Said team has a ton of crossovers that are on teams that have won bids also. How does that work? I know they can only compete on 1 team and it won't be the medium coed because they are lesser known than the other teams that have bids. I should clarify that they crossover to Lg AG or Lg Coed. Does the team get the $ for the number of athletes that competed for the paid and the gym can just apply it to the new members that will have to fill in on this team at Worlds? Is any of this making sense or am I completely rambling? Sounded much better in my head ;)

the full paid bid gets them $650 for every kid on the floor the day they win the bid. after the competition, they can then sub out up to 10 athletes with alternates. (I think 5 have to be from within the gym and up to 5 can be from anywhere? haven't reread the rule in a while)

3 can be from anywhere, have to be from the gym. Except level 6, they have different rules about alternates.

is that the same for international teams or just american teams? i cant remember ever seeing a non-american team compete in prelims!

There have been a few international teams compete in the club divisions, though they are rare. Most don't make the age guidelines.

As far as the actual international divisions, the way it's set up now is prelims is just American teams. Semi-finals is the top 10 American teams and all the International teams. Finals is top 3 from each country.

This gym did the same thing last year. It is not against the rules, which is a shame. I hate to see a team with the same athletes work all year to earn a bid and a team loaded with the maximum amount of ringers gets it instead.

I really think it should be a rule that an athlete can only receive a bid to worlds with one team. IMO it is cheating the system, and then these teams will go to worlds with less talented athletes and not do as well as they did during the season.

This is random, and probably pathetic.. but for NCA and worlds coming up and I looking for people/cheer twitters etc to follow on Twitter - I am going to be home all weekend with nothing to do no one to talk to and Im pretty much planning on being a cheer queer all weekend ! PM me :)

Also, I remember seeing a team that did their jump sequence doing a quarter turn after each jump (one jump in each direction) and then maybe it was followed by a tuck? I believe it was Fame, but I could be wrong. Anyone remember seeing this, and can find a video??

Vancouver All-Stars Ice Queens did something like this in 2011 - here is a video (0:24):

It's not from Worlds, but I believe they did the same sequence at Worlds.

i have a question for flyers! for twisting in tumbling, i pull left. for twisting out of stunts, i of course pull left. for those who twist right in tumbling, is it weird? do you notice that you're spinning opposite ways? always wondered that cause for me its all the same so it feels natural!

If your roundoff foot is left, you twist left. If your roundoff foot is right, you twist right. There are rare exceptions where people roundoff in one direction and twist the other way, But that tends to cause mayhem. My brother is a roundoff right twist left and he almost trips himself constantly.
