If your roundoff foot is left, you twist left. If your roundoff foot is right, you twist right. There are rare exceptions where people roundoff in one direction and twist the other way, But that tends to cause mayhem. My brother is a roundoff right twist left and he almost trips himself constantly.
I round off left twist right. For some reason I just couldn't get around when they tried to teach me to twist left so I twist right. I'm also more flexible on my right side but I don't think that has anything to do with it... Lol

Its just a general guideline...If your comfortable that way awesome!

Vancouver All-Stars Ice Queens did something like this in 2011 - here is a video (0:24):

It's not from Worlds, but I believe they did the same sequence at Worlds.

Thank you for sharing that! Besides the tumbling collision, that's a great routine! =)

I know you get deductions for tumble busts and stunt falls but what happens if an athlete is just walking across the mat to move to the next section and they trip. Is that a deduction?

Is it a deduction for a shoe/bow/etc falling off? If so how much is it at varsity events?

Shoe, yes, at Worlds last year I think Stars were deducted either 5 or 10 points for each shoe (though that may be because they were intentionally taken off), bow, no. At least I've never heard of it being deducted for.

When someone steps on the bow is when it becomes a deduction. I'm not sure if I made that up or not but it sticks out in my mind.

Are conferences free? Do you just have to pay for your hotel stay? Do you have to stay at the hotel listed?

When a team gets a bid, does the competition pay for their expenses or give them a set amount? So does OA just get a whole extra amount of money when they get a full paid or does the competition get a good deal by giving them one of the full paids?

Paid bids are $650 per athlete + 2 coaches. Partial paid are $325, I think.
