We had a lot of great experiences but I want to list my worse because my 8 yo is still upset about it.

To the lady (and I use that term loosely) who was saving seats in the Arena and who lied as every event attendant went up to her and asked her to move her things for her imaginary husband that was in the bathroom. Thank you for teaching my daughter that some people in the world can not be kind no matter what. We nicely asked you if we could sit there until your "husband" came back... yes we saw that your team had about 10 other seats open for "husbands" in the area right behind the judges. We said we would happily get up as soon as you needed the seat no questions asked and that way the attendants would no longer bother you... thank you for screaming and only moving your bag when the other adults looked at you and realized that what I was saying made sense (never mind they did not offer any of there blank seats)... yes we did not have a team performing that minute neither did you... my CP just wanted to see a couple of older teams (not even the BIG name ones) with the fire behind them to see how it looked - she was excited, she was 8 and at NCA until you shot her nasty looks the whole time - by the way she is 8 and could read your text and saw that you were telling everyone that you said get one of the dads to come and pretend to be your husband in the bathroom - real class "Lady".

I think some adults at this event needed to get their heads in order and remember not only do cheerleaders represent the gym we do to. To the parents who did allow my daughter to sit with them and chatted nicely with us and we did give them their seat back when the person came back - thank you for being kind. I wrote your gym owner today and shared what a lovely group of people you were. I hope it gets back to you.

I only wish that first "lady" had a team name and color that was not so popular because I certainly would have LOVED to write that gym owner as well. I understand if you are saving seats. I get it which is why I said my kid and I would leave no questions asked when you needed it - then no event person bothered you and we could get maybe 3 groups in which is about all my kid wanted to see (of course the fact that this lady was so nasty the whole time to my kid and I made it really nice). This was the worse part of NCA to us.
The seat saving in the arena was infuriating. It was a little better when security got involved - but I was fuming more than once. I knew better and gave myself plenty of time to get situated - long before the stampede of "fans". I understand people have to pee and need some Nachos from time to time - but I'm pretty sure seats were being saved for people that hadn't even left their hotel room yet, or teenagers that were on "teenager" time. I love my kid and I love my friends ~ but whether it's worlds or NCA - if you're not with me when I'm looking for a seat ~ I'm not saving you one. I don't like it when others do it - so I don't do it. Ahhhh - that darned golden rule coming into play - yet again. :)

Having been out of cheer this last year, I don't know who I give credit for this to......but my MOST FAVORITE part was how when the 2nd place team was announced, the winners controled themselves until they were ANNOUNCED!!

I know how hard it is to no be excited when you're CP's team is not 2nd and you know they won, but I have always hated when the excitement for the 2nd place team is taken away by the screams and joy of the winners and their fans.

Kudos to whoever started this!! I am sooooo happy to see this and I hope it wasn't only a NCA thing!!

Agreed!! I saw lots of class this weekend. I blocked out the not so classy - everyone has a moment now and again.

Yeah after my incident with the "lady" I went to the deduction/safety table outside the Arena and said I needed to speak to someone regarding this incident. They pointed out someone quickly who immediately said they woudl start making announcements and I did hear them and see in some cases they did make a difference. I told them the amount of seat saving was ridiculous and that they needed the event people who were keeping the aisles clear to also to deal with the crazy seat saving. I told them the whole incident. Had it just been me that would have been nasty but okay but the fact that she was so nasty to a little girl that just wanted to watch some big kids. I could not believe the ugliness..that is what sent me to find a NCA person.

i agree the best moments were obsession and platinum tying, love them both! also top gun... WOW i absolutly LOVE OO5 they WILL win worlds, do it for omar rip even if they didnt win this weekend!

What I liked my two daughters competing for their last time at NCA and one winning GT Pink and other one getting her paid bid WC Suns. The teams this year really brought their a game wow. All the parents ace, brandon and cali talking and having fun and teasing me everytime I changed my tshirt for my daughters different teams. Can not wait for worlds this year.

What. I didn't like seats not having cushions for my butt for sitting in them for 12hrs plus. People getting up every 10mins and making you stand up to get thru while teams are on. Last thing no coke cola
Our farewell tour continues on till we get to worlds

Biggest Highlights:
1. PCM going nuts as they remained on the floor during Small Senior. You would have thought they had won when they made it to Top 5 and I felt like they DID win when they got 4th.
I felt bad for them in a good way. I thought for sure one of them was going to have a heart attack with every team that was called before them!

When Platinum and Obsession charged at each other and celebrated together after they tied for 1st!

Yes that was one of my favorite parts of NCA! They tied in our division and I was standing like right there when it happened. I started crying because it was so sweet and they all looked so happy and I just couldn't handle how sweet it was! I had one girl from another team just look at me like I was crazy... Like how could you not find that sportsmanship beautiful?!

My favorite, and most stressful part, will always be awards. But nothing compares to getting to be on the floor when a team wins. Seeing how important that moment is makes me appreciate my role in helping them achieve it. And standing next to them makes me feel like I WON NATIONALS, too.

Biggest Highlights:

2. Texas Lonestar earning a PAID BID. Through a series of unfortunate circumstances, they didn't have one yet. It was a long time coming and well deserved.
.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! It is a weekend that our kids will never forget. They are so excited to be representing NCA at worlds 2013

I will say it a million times over and over again, even when my son isn't cheering anymore, I will be going to Dallas to watch this competition for years to come "God willing". The venue is great. Beyond the seat saving and the small problems, it is by far the best competition I have been to. I haven't been to Cheersport so I can't compare it to that. I have been to Worlds and even the TV coverage from CBSSports of NCA I believe is better than ESPN's coverage of Worlds. Getting to watch teams that I don't normally get to see throughout the year live on all levels is crazy!! I like it!!

It was our first ever NCA trip for a small town team called Hagerstown Heat great first day heartbreaking second day but the experience was amazing and when we got home lots of young ladies getting new tumbling and already working for those 2014 jackets !!
