Gotcha... Then, I will elaborate with some additional information:

Summit Bids are not limited to USASF rules as they are affiliated with Varsity Events, specifically. However, Sea to Sky International Championships, being held in Vancouver from Apr 5-7th, will also be able to award 4 teams Summit Bids: One Full Paid and 3 At Large which can be deferred for the 2014 event. These can go to either American or Canadian Teams. :cheering:

My coach is completely registered for the USASF for coaching, but he is also on our international team attending Worlds. He wanted to know if he has to register with the USASF as an athlete as well?

Shoe, yes, at Worlds last year I think Stars were deducted either 5 or 10 points for each shoe (though that may be because they were intentionally taken off), bow, no. At least I've never heard of it being deducted for.
im pretty sure only if you step on the bow you loose points

I would say it's probably worth emailing USASF and checking- it's not worth getting disqualified over something as small as that just because someone on the boards didn't quite know/made a mistake!

i know im probably really late to the game but why in the world is it going to cost me $170 to watch worlds!

I would imagine if it's like Worlds Bids that you have to get them in your own country. Canadian teams weren't eligible for worlds bids at Cheersport either.

We competed in the Road to Worlds Category at an American competition last season. We were eligible to win a bid even as a Canadian team. I do remember there was one year (maybe about 3 years ago?) where you had to win a bid in your country of origin, but I think that only lasted one year.

you can get a bid in another country as long as you have the ep's permission before hand i believe.

I'm not sure. The rule always seems to change from year to year. Good thing I don't have to worry about it. That's why my coach gets paid the big bucks!! ;)

Didn't Top Gun Large Coed have a dance last year where the guys took the bow out of the girls hair during it, and used it during the dance? Can anyone find the video, and why did they not keep that in the dance??

Also, I remember seeing a team that did their jump sequence doing a quarter turn after each jump (one jump in each direction) and then maybe it was followed by a tuck? I believe it was Fame, but I could be wrong. Anyone remember seeing this, and can find a video??
Vancouver All Stars Ice Queens (Canada) did turning jumps I believe it was to tuck from my memory a year or two ago...

i was under the impression the summit is just a US thing?
Nope I'm pretty sure champion cheer peace arch in Canada got a at large and so did VAS reign at spirit cheer Tacoma. The paid bid that envy elite lg. sr co-ed received at the same comp was listed... Just wondering why the canadian teams that revived invites were not on the list while the American teams that it them were on the list...?
