in your link it says dont use irregardless, use regardless.

Because it is not generally accepted by the public as a word, but it's still in the dictionary with all the other words. I think of it like is cheer a sport? Well it depends on your definition of sport. Is irregardless a word? Depends on your definition of a word. If being in the dictionary makes it a word, then I'd say yes it is a word. Plus apple products auto-suggest it and we all know that Steve Jobs' opinion is the one that really matters :)

The At-Large Summit Bids were given to every National Champion in every Summit-eligible division. The Paid Bid Winners were selectd from that list.

At large bids only. Think I have a decent understanding on how paids were awarded.

To clarify, maybe I am the only one who has this question, first year for us with a bid anything opportunity, Level 2, 1st in Div A would get an at large, 1st in Div B would get at an large, then small A gets at large, small B, etc, all get at large as long as they were national champions?

I'm having flashbacks of Clinton saying it depends on what the definition of "is" is. Sorry - my age just made an unwelcomed announcement. ;)

For those curious.. California Allstars won the most NCA titles this year with 12, followed by Stingrays with 10. I made a spreadsheet on the NCA one for the top 3 places for each gym. :)

You should do it as a ratio, too, with the total number of teams brought to NCA. For example, if you bring 15 teams and get 3 titles, it might not as impressive as if you bring 5 teams and get 3 titles..

That is correct. If you won Nationals in a division that is ultimately eligible for Summit (which is every division except Tiny, Mini, and Worlds divisions) then you have an At-Large bid. 14 of those National Champions were then awarded a Paid bid at the end of the night.

Hope that helps.

Yes xo sarah can you put in the next column how many teams each took... like they took 7 teams and got 2 titles, looks really cool next to 25 teams and 3 titles? Or am I asking to much!! I'll help! With the numbers lol

Kris10boo and SheCheers, I added a total team column and a % of title winners column (have to have a total column for the formula to work). I left the 2nd and 3rd place columns as well, but didn't factor them in.

It's actually very interesting the seven gyms had a 100% title rate, and out of the seven, five of them brought only one team, another two, and the most three.

That has me curious of those, how many were small gyms that only had that many teams..vs a large gym that only brought that many. Lol. I'm just thinking out loud, not asking you to tell me :)

I haven't had a chance to text or tweet at all this weekend. The arena kept eating my battery, trying to get a signal. (-_-). But, overall, NCA was great!

brebrid, your daughter was amazing on Cells! And their uniforms? Stunning! They are flattering on everyone!

Angelica, I'm sorry I didn't text you. My phone! We were up for YE, so we stayed and I was so excited to see your team perform!

I met some kids from ECE J5!! The kids and parents were so humble and nice! I joked that they need to stay out of LAG b/c they are so good. They told me that only one kid on the team prevents them from being LAG, but could not belive that anyone thinks they are good enough to be in that division!

I'm proud of our CEA teams! They all performed near clean routines. It was a great weekend for the coaching staff! SE owned that routine! I'm sorry that we lost, and but I'm really happy for Panthers that they hit. So sorry that Cheetahs did not. They are such nice kids.

Finally... Coed Elite. Words cannot describe how happy and proud I am of those kids. The love they share for each other and for Ashley is palpitable whenever the team is together. It's such a boost for them. I love them so much!

Overall a great weekend! Now back to work, kiddies!
Thank you, we really appreciate the compliment, wish we could have met up, hopefully next time!!

I am so happy for Palm Beach Lightning Jr 2 for winning Jackets in Dallas! I am so happy for their program. It was not a good fit for me but it is for a lot of people and I am glad to see they are keeping it going and doing so well this year. I like to win but I have no desire to go to Worlds. My goal is to win UCA, that is my dream since I started cheer.
