I'm still impressed. Perfect for me :)

Oh I completely agree it's impressive, just like to be specific. If you like perfect gymnastics, check out Nastia's beam routine from Pacific Rim in 2008, got a 9.8 execution (the highest awarded since pre-2006 COP)
Anyways back to A&T

Just a response to some of the posts I have read. My daughter is an A & T athlete. She transitioned well from allstar cheer which she did for 7 years. The first time I went to a meet I was amazed and in awe. It was so nice to go watch a team compete and have the opportunity to watch the team for 2 hours rather than just the 2-1/2 minutes of a team routine. Going to her last home meet this Thursday and sad that I can't attend nationals, which as mentioned above is the same weekend as worlds. However nationals for this sport rotates schools and eventually I will get to see nationals right here at my daughter's local school. I can tell you that these girls are treated the same on campus as all college athletes. They get priority registration which is quite helpful, all the apparel and equipment are Nike, they have athletic trainers assigned to their team. The gloves are actually helpful in many ways. They prevent the scratches, etc. from baskets, and also provide some support to the wrist. Strains, sprains, etc are treated by the athletic trainers and they can go whenever they want and need the therapy. With the 3 new schools joining the sport this year it is certainly growing. All of my daughter's former teammates who have come to watch the meet are fascinated. And there are things that go on in between events that are probably not shown online. It has the feel of a gymnastics meet which is fine by me. It's not rushed, it's not loud, rather it's usually quiet during each skill performed, similar to a vault or beam routine. The team routine is performed to music, but that is just one of 6 events. And yes, there are scholarships as well. It's an exciting way for allstar cheerleaders who aren't ready to give up being competitive but don't like cheering games to continue doing what they love into college.

Horrible experience with A&T. Do NOT recommend it. Especially if you come from an all cheer background.

Thanks for sharing the video. I tried hard to watch as someone without a cheer background might. It was interesting. I think that unless they improve the transition between events and jazz it up a bit the sport will find that it is difficult to increase interest beyond family and friends of athletes. As someone who follows All-Star cheerleading I did enjoy it more than I thought I would. Perhaps having the male cheerleaders come cheer them on might be fun! ;)

I started following Oregon and liked their Facebook page after somebody posted this video a while back. Also I was impressed with the pic of the one-mans someone had posted a while ago. If we can get CP a scholarship one day A&T, we still need 8 years, people, we will definitely look into it. Definitely someone get a team in FL by then, please.

I confess, I did not watch the youtube link listed above. I just think Oregon's program looks fantastic from the things they post here and there on Facebook and such. I just don't know if I will ever be ready for my baby daughter (last child) to go to school all the way across the country. Last video link I'll post of them, but I think CP one day would love to go on an A&T scholarship, truly if colleges follow idiotic rule of not allowing their cheerleaders to tumble or stunt? #ungroundUFcheer??? something like that towards end of football last season.

Well I wouldn't want to let you make the mistake of having to cheer for UF, what a horrible idea lol

I actually really like this. It's something I could see myself participating and excelling in, since it's slower and more technical. (If I weren't out of shape and graduating college in a month, of course)

I also love how the uniforms are made to HELP the athletes, not hinder them. Often times I wish cheerleaders would compete in something like this. Plus they just look super comfy
