I had my first parent meeting last night and I have to say I felt giddy the while time. Practice starts next Friday and I even volunteered to be a team mom! Now I need to hunt for shoes!

For tiny show I would go with either the Hi-top Reeboks (keeps their little ankles stable) or a shoe like Chasse or Kaepa. The little ones need stable shoes, Nfinity's I feel are to soft and light. You have plenty of years ahead to buy the $80 shoes, enjoy the cheaper years now.
Team mom is a great way to jump in head first and meet all the parents! I did it once for my older cp's team and was an "assistant" our last year at Spirit. Planning gifts and parties is the most fun!

The reeboks are what I'm hoping to find actually, another mom mentioned them. I hope I get picked for team mom, I figured it would be a great way to get to now the coaches and the other parents. I'm moving to a new town so this will hopefully provide me some good friendships too!

Little feet grow so quickly that I wouldn't spend too much money on a pair of shoes. Most of our tinies wear these sneakers from Target (they come in solid white). I don't know if your gym will allow it, but they're a big hit with our moms.

Pretty sure I know exactly which ones you are talking about because my cp had them when she was a toddler! They were just what I was thinking of getting. Her first practice is next week, so if I will probably get those and if they want something different at least I know she will still get wear out of them for the spring.

How long does it take to get added, just out of curiosity. I'm sure he's busy so I'm being patient, however patience isn't usually in my nature :D

Send him a private message. Sometimes it is easy to overlook a notification when scrolling through the high volume I imagine he receives. Plus if not mistaken a busy time of year for him.

Thanks Cheer Dad, I think I did-is it the 'start a conversation' thing? I'm used to a 'send a message' from other boards, so I'm still hoping I'm doing things right on here! I figure he's busy, seems like a lot of newbies on this board!

Yup, you did it correct. Eventually he should be able to hook you up. :D

maybe goddessmommy should wait a few months before coming over the the parent area. she seems nice and I would hate to scare her off!

LOL, oh....my niceness is only for the beginning ;) Nah, I'm generally pretty nice until you start attacking me, my baby, or my friends. Otherwise, its an internet forum, if I can't handle some snark and difference of opinions I need to keep off the internet!
