Augusta, GA Rhinehart's for some casual seafood, T-Bonz for steaks and Sconyer's BBQ.
All are landmarks and destinations in Augusta for people who come to town for The Master's Golf Tourney.

If you're in Chicago....

Italian Beef sandwich (dipped! Gotta get it dipped)

Chicago Style Hot Dog (all beef hot dog, onions, relish, tomato, pickle, celery salt and mustard - no ketchup under any circumstances!)

Chicago Style Pizza (Lou Malnati's is my personal fave!)

In Chicago the belly dog at Belly Shack. It's a korean hot dog - huge beef dog topped with noodles, kimchi, and papaya relish. With a spicy creamy sauce (tastes like sriracha, mayo, and curry but I have no idea what it actually is). I can't describe the heaven that this thing is. It's perfection in every way.
(I'm meh with Italian beef. I just can't get excited about it. Just tastes like a philly cheese steak with no toppings to me  )

In Rochester, NY:
Bill Grays that I mentioned in the other thread - best burger and fries on earth.
Country Sweet chicken wings (true story I actually carried home a 100 piece party pack of wings on a flight from Rochester to Chicago for all of us to enjoy - they're THAT good. I had to wrap and check the sauce at the airport but they let me count the wings as my carry-on)

If you ever visit Australia there's are lots of delicious - and some odd - foods to try!

Anzac biscuits
Vegemite on toast (don't let rumours scare you, it's delicious!)
Kangaroo (a seriously lean, good source of protein which is cheap and tastes great)
Lamingtons
Tim Tams
Pavlova
Unusual toppings on food like ineapple on your pizza, and beetroot and egg in your burgers
Chiko Rolls
And for the very brave... Witchetty Grubs (insects!)

You need to explain the ones with no description. If you don't I'll chuck a tanty.

:D

In Birmingham, every local place will have sweet tea and most chains as well. If you've never had it or only had it north of the Mason Dixon line, you need to try it. It's not the same as putting sugar in your tea when it arrives at your table.

Also, there are a number of barbecue places here. It's different at each place and the sauces are more varied than in other places. You can try the vinegar based sauce or the tomato based sauce or the mustard based sauce or the white sauce. Very different but all good.

Miss Myra's in Cahaba Heights (behind the Summit) has great barbecue and the best cocoanut cream pie with mile high meringue.

For the real foodies, there are a huge number of incredible restaurants in Birmingham: Highlands Bar & Grill, Bottega, Little Savannah, The Veranda on Highland, Ocean, Satterfields, Springhouse, etc.

Also, for anyone outside the South, there are a lot of "meat and three" diners. That means you pick your protein and three vegetables. Come hungry. One of my favorites is Magnolia Cafe down the street from my office. They serve pot roast on Thursday that they cook for 15 hours. Have mercy.

Are there really places where there are no 7/11s???

While Richmond isn't really "deep South", probably 60% of people act like it is so we have a LOT of BBQ. Buzz and Neds is really good, and there's a location pretty close to the convention center. Chick Fil A is a pretty big deal around here. Downtown there's some hipstery local stuff but we don't have anything I consider "Richmond's thing"

YES! It's SO weird
As for CoMo - Shakespeare's pizza! It's SO good. We have lots of frozen custard places here too and it's really good - although not good for you :p i miss chick fil a. We have some small restaurants downtown but I'd say Shakespeare's is the main place you have to visit in the Columbia area (Mizzou)
If you're in Boston - RICHIES SLUSH it's actually like the best thing that's ever existed. Ever.

If you're in New York City you have to go to Shake Shack for a burger and a milkshake. So delicious!

If you like falafel, there's this amazing place called Taim falafel also in the city. You will never want to eat it anywhere else.

You should get The Fierce Board App!

If in San Antonio (or most of Texas) you have to go to Rudy's for the creamed corn. I do NOT like creamed corn, but I LOOOVE that stuff.

And puffy tacos, the best ones are at La Fiesta Patio.

Get ceviche at La Gloria.

And a margarita at the Rialto movie theater. Yum.

I'm getting so hungry now!!

Ok the chances you'll ever go to Belgium are non-existing, but in case you ever got lost in Europe and end up here...:

1) We DO NOT eat waffles as breakfast! We eat it as a dessert or a snack in the afternoon. Not as breakfast! the only times I ever ate waffles for breakfast was when I was in the USA...absolutely loved it though! might introduce it here:) Also our waffles are different: you find many kinds of wrapped ones when going to a supermarket, but in a restaurant or from a vendor on the street you'll either have Luikse Wafel(in flemish)/gauffre de liège(in French). which is a heavy waffle with big clumps of Sugar in it.
the other is the Brusselse Wafel/gauffre de Bruxelles, which is a light one but more crispy, usually topped with icing Sugar and fruit, whipped cream or icecream.

2) Cuberbon...those are little candies, that are just delicious! try to buy them fresh on a market (every town has a weekly outdoor market for fresh fruit, vegetables, chicken, fish,...) you can't keep them too long because the Sugar on the inside will become hard and it will loose it's flavor.

3) For those who didnt know yet: fries were not invented in France but Belgium!!!! and we are very proud of our fries! You will see little places all over called "frituur", its were they make fries. You get a big paper cone filled with fries and usually you add mayonaise on top. you'll see they offer alot of types of meat with it. a very populair one is "frikandel special" which is long sausage cut in two with mayonaise, ketchup and chopped onions. the best of all though is: "stoofvlees" with is a stew from beef, takes hours to make but it's so good!

4) beer...we have the largest variaties in beer in the world! I cant tell you much about all the different kind 'cuz im not a big alcohol drinker. I know Palm is quiet nice, but it's said to be heavy. I prefer "kriek", especially on a warm summer evening, served extra cold! It's a beer with a cherry flavor. some call it a ladies beer:)

5)chocolat! well I guess we're known for it:) in supermarkets you'll see we have tons of regular chocolat bars or filled ones. try the côte d'or regular milk chocolat which comes in a pale paper. it's mentioned the year 1883, the year they started producing it. if you go to buy pralines (which are little filled chocolats, the ones most people refer to when talking about belgian chocolat), go to a leonidas and ask for the "manon blanc". it's most people's favourite:) but get it mixed with others in case you are the only person in the world who doesnt like it.

Ok...I sound like I'm from the Belgian tourist board:)
