I get that YOU don't like them, but what about the judges??;)

Well, it does specifically say to get scored into the medium- high subrange basing score DO NOT include front spots. Kitten smashed.

19 is an awkward number. The way I'm thinking is to score a .9 or max out would be to put up 5 elites (with one two man), and 6 quantity stunts.

To everyone saying not to use front spots, if they are the only thing that keeps your stunts from looking tragic use them. I still say that the jump in technique and difficulty will be worth it . No matter the scoresheet, you will score best with what looks best.
That being said @ascheerman , will number of bases affect our base stunt difficulty score like it did, or will judges be instructed to seperated the two?

If your stunts look tragic, do what it takes to make it work and for the sake of good cheerleading, DON'T use front spots. I don't see an extra set of hands increasing execution enough to make up for a loss like that under basing.

Do what you will, but I call losing about .5 tops in basing (most teams will do a numbers stunt so your looking at at least .3, but the only teams getting .8 and up in basing will be large coed teams most likely) to gain .1 -.4 in skills creativity (especially in level 2 I can think of some crazy visuals that almost need a front spot, pushes my difficulty up a range, and increases my technique, then I call that smart Cheerleading. While of I could do all the same stuff without using front spots, you bet I will. But sacrificing visual for difficulty and a few more tenths on one part of the scoresheet with technique being way more wide open is silly.
I'll say it again to every coach, you will score best with what looks best. That's just my experience as a coach choreographer and judge. And what @ascheerman keeps trying to still into our heads. There are only a handful of scoresheets that will allow a squad that 'looks' worse to win.

Random Question.... so in level 3 we incorporate back handspring step out, turn round off back handspring tuck into our sequence. Under the scoring would that be considered one of the 2 standing skills??? or would the handspring tuck then be considered points under the running tumbling??

It's a specialty standing pass.

I was told as soon as a round off is executed it breaks it into 2 parts the bhs step out as standing, the robhs tuck as running? Reason many do bhs+bhs step out robhs tuck. I'd be happy to learn different!

Makes sense... We did TT BHS step out, so I guess both were level 3. I didn't even think about it!

My question would be can a "tuck" be counted as a standing tumbling skill in lvl 3?
Example- would step out robhs tuck count as 3 skills (multiplied by the # of athletes executing) towards the 75%?
OR is it just the standing bhs counted as 1 standing skill and the tuck counted as 1 running skill (again, multiplied by the number of athletes executing).

I think a BHS step out RO tuck would be one running pass, but help you get more points within your range. If you did 2 BHS RO tuck, that is a standing pass + running pass, and would also help within the range due to difficulty, but I'm not sure if it would count towards running AND standing. I always assumed it helped with standing score. I know within Jambrands scoring, each is broken up and counted as one thing. Technically, the BHS would count as nothing under Jam since it is a level 2 skill.
I know the example given to me was that if you do RO BHS step out RO BHS tuck it is just a level 2 pass plus a level 3 pass, and you would get no points under Jam. Under Varsity, I believe they'll give you credit for a level 3 pass, and it would help bump you up within the range. However, it won't be counted as 2 level 3 running passes.

@ashleymitchell5, I take it back. It is not a specialty pass I would put in unless you add another BHS or if you add a toe touch to the front of it.

That would be a special entry into a running pass. Just like doing front walkover into a skill. While its not level appropriate, it makes what you are doing slightly more difficult.

If you only do a single handspring and then running out of it, you aren't adding difficulty to your standing score.
