All-Star Champions League Teams

Ok based upon recent team revelations and information from Bluecats posts I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is the seven companies who offered to buy out the loan by varsity to USASF. It seems to be driven also by individual gym owners and I'm guessing certain owners specifically. There seems to be an amount of pressure being applied to join but it's not a slam dunk sale and I think that's why the teams are being given out in dribbles. They're still signing people up!
So I'm not saying its going to be good or bad- too early to guess but I think that the claims by individuals on social media that the event is invite only based on prior years achievements is likely overstated. I'd guess that participation is based on this group getting the biggest names they can to join. Just look at the list so far. 12 gyms but really what 7 or 8 real powerhouses?

It's just another competition to add to their schedule.... it's not like they're announcing it a month before. Most gyms competition schedules are tentative at this point anyways.

I'm a parent. Maybe this is my perspective because we're new to level 5 this year and new to our gym this year as well, but I don't see where my opinion counts one iota.

My decision was important back when I let my kids try out for these teams. After they were placed I'm pretty sure my role is to cut a check and say "yes, ma'am."

If, as a parent, I choose to not go/allow my kid to go to a competition that has exactly no effect on the team because there's a list of kids who'd love to take their place and everyone is replaceable.

If we don't want to play ball with the schedule we can always be moved off/down for someone who is willing.

Exactly, I know 4 of these gyms personally and parents on same 4 that have no clue whatsoever. They are asking me. I laughing because A) I have no kids old enough B) I don't own a gym anymore and C) I am blissfully ignorant and excited about this.

For the record, my kids cheer at an attending gym. My sons team may or may not be one of these reveals. I have no idea about that either, its part of why I'm watching CU. pure curiosity if well personally be attending.

As a parent I have exactly no information (as my speculative posts would imply) and I'm not of the opinion the one team already revealed knows any more than I do.

Not if it was meant to be a surprise. All I'm saying is, this couldn't be possible without parental cooperation, the gyms aren't just kidnapping athletes for a weekend

For what it's worth, I have a good friend on a team that may or may not be attending (team hasn't been announced yet... if they will be, who knows) that knows all of the details but he can't tell. So some kids know, but they know how to keep their mouths shut.

The one thing about this that tickles me is the uproar about "how teams are chosen", like there have to be rules or it has to be fair.

If I created an invitational event, I would invite exactly whomever I wanted using whatever reasons I wanted.
