I would hate to be cheer updates right now. Every time there is something posted about this someone asks what it is when and where. People need to look back not just on here but on twitter as well for more info !

Amen! I'd like to shake half the lazy people that would have every question answered if they'd just look at the last 45 tweets they put out answering the same thing! Take two seconds to answer your own question with one mouse click before bothering half the twitter verse with questions that have been asked.....and answered.....67 times already. #endrant

if im correct 18 teams have been announced so far (i wrote it down on a piece of paper, dont butcher me for my math)

cheer extreme senior elite would be an obvious announcement, Spirit of texas could be a huge possibility too, along with Cali Aces. cant think of who else might be invited, maybe rockstar the beatles. however i have noticed that only one medium coed team, and one medium senior all girl tam has been invited. so im guessing the competition is gonna be just coed teams competing against each other, and all girl teams against each other.

however i constantly have to remind myself that this isnt taking place till the end of the season practically :banghead: grrrrr

But you're the one not ignoring it and bringing it up :p
And you also haven't been the only one to not search through a forum
and you're the one that keeps replying. shut up, i posted something, if you didn't like it then don't reply and mind your business. i don't need people to tell me "you're using the wrong word" okay mommy. :p

Double post but... This seems to be an event created by industry leaders and this list of teams/gyms is 100% industry leaders. No questions asked. Sure talent is a factor but every single gym behind this is a leader in this industry whether it is skills, Worlds/NCA placements, innovation, and people who spearhead most changes in the industry.

I understand that, with these inaugural events, you have to start somewhere and industry leaders are going to take the bull by the horns. However, shouldn't there be some cut and dry requirements in order to get invited to an event of this caliber? When Worlds was an "exclusive"event back in the day, if you had the two highest scores at the participating event producers' nationals, you went to Worlds (I think that's correct). There were no guessing games. From what I've read on here, there is still no transparency as to how these teams were picked...ALL the teams so far are good...But some of them aren't the best in their divisions, and this is supposed to be a battle amongst the best. SO, what this ends up looking like is a popularity contest...and I can't see how this is supposed to advance our industry (if that's the intent). I can see how this is probably the most exciting thing since sliced bread for many cheerleading fans and invited teams who will be able to make it to Philly, but something about it seems exclusionary and sort of shady.

Not the popular opinion I guess, but I think I'd be more on board if the specifics were revealed.

ughh can we move on from un- necessary drama....

anyways, how many more days of announcing teams... and im hoping they start announcing the rules, etc once they get all the teams named.

CU tweeted that once all the teams are announced, the details of the weekend will be revealed.

The requirements, other than accepting the invite, are whatever the decision makers want it to be. We're not all going to agree on all the choices, but that's just the way it works. So far, every team picked is a team that I would watch at worlds. There really doesn't need to be a rhyme or reason behind one team getting in over another. We don't know who has turned down the invitation, so it's hard to argue why certain teams may or may not be on the list. I view the attendees as teams who have been at the top, and those who are nipping at their heels.

I would be really excited if South Elite was announced as one if the teams! I know not a lot of people follow them, but they are starting to make a name for themselves and considering they are by themselves way out in Washington State that's hard to do! It would be impressive to pull talent from all the corners of the United States...
