Hello all!

So at level 2 you can half up to half single leg or full two legs. I know in lvl 1 we can 1/4 up to half. Is it legal to 1/2 twist to a belly button stunt. It's very easy to do, so I'm hoping its ok! :)

As in half twist back down to a stunt held at the belly button? or do you mean a half twist down and the flyer is in a prone position on their belly?

You can only 1/4 turn in level 1. No 1/2 ups at all.

And in L2 you can only 1/2 up, no full ups at all.

The original stunt ? Was from the ground, foot in to base, 1/2 twist to belly button stunt. I will record tomorrow if it doesn't make sense. Idk why it wouldn't be permitted. It's incredibly easy and never goes past the belly button. I just assumed since 1/2 up to half was ok in 2, and 1/2 up to single leg is ok in 3, that half up to belly button was ok In 1... Blah. Some of these rules are just way to much for any one person. I'm seriously like an epic failure cause I just can't keep it straight and rationalize it. Some of them just don't make sense at all.

Rant over.

On the Usasf site it is referred to below prep level. "Thigh stand, belly button:)"

In L1 you cannot twist more than 1/4, regardless of the ending stunt or height.

I guess I'm just a nerd. We've always called them belly button stunts :)

Ashley
I think it's all regional and state terminology. Main base, side base, spinner. I think we should all chip in and ask Andre to come up with a "cheer dictionary!"
