The problem is the choice criteria is not transparent. Teams that have not made finals at worlds or scored lower than teams at NCA or another major national in the past season tells me some of the choices are more popularity than a serious criteria - for some of the teams. Great base it on a legacy but how far back do you go - especially since the team make up is not the same or even the division. Just be clear about it.
I would love to see PCM Fantasy there, but I don't know if the "League" would "approve." Or if they would travel from the West Coast. But either way, I would love it if they went.

I suspect that aside from CEA, this year's criteria was whoever had a competitive team, with some existing fan base, and was willing to stick their neck out and take the plunge. If this goes off successfully next year and grows I am sure they will be able to set more objective criteria for inclusion in the future.

So can I suggest my team? I swear we're good. We didn't make finals but hey we won 2 competitions here in Canada. That seems to be more than some of these teams could say.

Theres not a team on that list that can't hang on any given day. And if they are willing to accept this I'm sure they are willing to accept a head to head challenge again. Feel free to step up before criticizing. I know one gym that would be happy to!

I just think it's getting a little carried away. There's a difference between a talented team and champions. Don't name your event the "Champions League" if you're going to invite teams that have never won in the division they're competing in. And I don't mean winning Random Rinkydink Nationals in Sweatstainsville, Iowa, I mean winning when you've been pinned against the best of the best in your field, and generally that seems to happen most at NCA, Cheersport, and Worlds.
