All-Star Varsitys New Rule Of 5 Max Crossovers Between Worlds And Summit?

Five too many. With the possibility of one emergency crossover if they really want to play nice.

I'm just curious why everyone only cares about the World's athletes crossing over? IMO there were MUCH bigger crossover problems at The Summit. The biggest one being you didn't have to compete with the same athletes or the same # of athletes you won the bid with! A Youth 2 team of 22 can still add 10 level 4 kids if they want! That's ridiculous and such a bigger problem than World's athletes crossing over. Also, a gym with a SR5 can cross all those kids over to whatever teams they want at The Summit to stack teams. If they are going to address crossovers how about doing something that will actually help.

Zero crossovers is the right thing to do. Justin is able to make his event work with very minimal crossovers and that event has grown the since the limitations.

To everyone complaining - at least they're trying! Last year an infinite # could cross between the two. It's a start. I mean I don't know about anyone else but id rather see a level 1 team with five level 5 athletes than a level 1 team with all level 5 athletes. Zero would be ideal but they might be trying this to see reactions and inch the # downward over the next couple years. It's a new event and I'm sure they don't want to anger anyone too much and lose business. Who knows. It's an improvement because at least there's a limit now...

I have wondered why a coach or athletes would feel proud of winning a level 2 when they compete 5?

I'm thinking if you're angering the teams sandbagging by not letting them sandbag....you're making the right people angry.

No. They shouldn't cross either in a perfect world. But we're talking about Worlds crossovers so that's what I was referring to.
Right...my point is why make a rule that only covers World's crossovers? All the while allowing other crazy sandbagging/stacking. Like the ability to win bid with a team of 22 but make that a team of 32 just to compete at the Summit! Say it's a level 2
and you add 10 level 4's. It's ridiculous that The Summit doesn't require you to compete with the athletes that were on the floor when the bid was won. Call me crazy but that's a no brainer and should have been the FIRST thing they addressed!!!

Just want to throw out there that I'm not in the least bit angry it just seems like a silly place to start when there were much bigger issues they could have addressed than the Worlds athletes. 5 Worlds Athletes but you can have an infinite number of level 4s on a level 1/2 team oh and while you're at it you can add as many athletes as you want regardless of level (as long as there aren't more than 5 Worlds athletes) AFTER you win your bid LOL

Agreed. If this is supposed to be "the" event for levels 1-4 then there should be a lot of effort being put into ensuring fair competition at those levels. Maybe there is and we just don't know it yet. It's still a year away. Hopefully there will be more where this came from.
