i don't know much about the EP end of the sport... but is it difficult to become USASF sanctioned?

hopefully, she's just footing the bill and someone who knows what they're doing is really in charge.

She is a former cheerleader, so I don't see the issue. Just IMO but I love the fact that she plans to have more for the athletes than just the 2 1/2 minutes on the mat- classes and workshops to Help build skills. Can't tell you how tired I am of paying to get into a competition to watch 2.5 minutes then having to entertain my cp for the rest of the day. It costs enough just to go without adding anything else.

I may be the only one but, I would love to attend one of her events. She has a very extensive dance and production background and choreographed for Jackson 5, Janet Jackson, and many others. She has a lot of respect for cheer and dance being that it is her background, and a very extensive network of people in the business. I pulled up some other articles, and she has been going to competitions for the past couple of years and said the athletes are on the stage for a few minutes and then spend the rest of the time waiting for awards (true), she said all of the competitions are carbon copies of one another (true), and she wants to give the participants more of an "experience" for their money. What that "experience" is going to be, I have no idea but, kudos to her for recognizing an opportunity and thinking outside the box. She said her events will be following the rules of the USASF.
If the cheer world doesn't like it, it will fail quickly.

The Jacksons not the Jackson 5 ;) Not that it matters lol.

Anyway. I'm excited. I'm also glad one of the competitions will be held in North Charleston since I live in Charleston. I'll be thereeee

@HeresAThought Oops! I thought it was the "Jackson 5" Victory Tour but, you are correct, it was "The Jacksons" Victory Tour she was assistant dance director. Anyhow, I would have loved to have gone to that, too.

Where do you see mention of workshops in the link above? Only info I see is regarding competition itself.
