There's a way to disable anon questions on ask.fm. But none of the people getting rude stuff use it... Which is what I don't understand. Do you want people to keep saying stuff?

I don't use any other social network other than facebook, I look at twitter for Cheerupdates, but I don't have a twitter. Why should I have to make a twitter that I won't use just to ask questions because some people don't like how ask.fm is? Those things can happen on any site, but it's about .5% less anonymous, but anyone can be behind that username or name that they tell everyone is them. Anonymous or not, nasty comments will be made and if someone isn't mature/old enough to look past those things, they shouldn't be on social media. But that's just my opinion.

Sorry it might make it tough for you but I'm going to continue to do my little bit against it.

I just told all of my girls at last practice to delete this thing or they are off the team. Things were getting way to nasty.

Cp wouldn't delete it when I told her to but when her coach told her, she deleted it immediately.

I don't understand it! People have said SUCH rude and hurtful things to some of my friends... Yet they don't delete the account. Why??????? I had one for about half a second then realized 1, it's dumb and hurtful, and 2, my life isn't interesting enough that people would even ask questions! My friends tell me about what people say to them on there and I'm appalled by it!

Cp refused to delete hers even after an anon posted the nastiest comments (we knew who it was though because she an other girl were in a "fight" via text at the time). Her reason for not wanting to delete it? The other girl would then know she "got" to cp. The working mind of a then 12 year old in action....

I think sometimes they might feel it is better to be "in the know" of what is being said rather than "out of the know". Sad though - sounds like it is everything wrong about social media. I can say what ever hurtful thing I want because no on knows who I am.

I wouldn't have such a problem with it if it were not anonymous. If it were anonymous I think that the site would be a little less horrible. I've looked through some of my friends' asks just to see what people were asking, and I was appalled that my peers had the audacity to hide behind their cell phone screens and say such nasty things. Seriously, if you have the time on your hands to post those kinds of things, you should get a hobby, as well as a life.

I've put forward a huge push at the kids' school to get everyone to drop it. Most parents don't even know what it is even though their kids have it.

When I was in 7th/8th and for awhile my freshman year, Formspring was a big issue for me. At the time I just wanted to be like the other kids but I got hate almost daily. From how I talked, how I wanted to be a race other than my own (black). I knew who it was because the same girls were bullying me at school. I was forced to delete mine as things began to escalate after someone said some awful things on another students FS on anon but saying they were me.

Now with Ask, I don't get any questions/ hate as most the kids that I had issues with are in different worlds from me. Most people get long confessions about how anon is in love with them, questions about their personal lives. Not too much hate. But even if people don't have asks and their friends do, some people will send nasty stuff about others to people who are associated with them.

These websites mixed with real life bullying ruined my confidence for a long time. I wouldn't have one now if I wasn't mentally strong. Young kids should stay away!!!

I had a pretty horrible experience with formspring, too.

I don't understand why someone would welcome that stuff in. The only thing formspring did to me was make me feel completely horrible about myself.

I don't feel bad for the people that get hateful questions day after day and refuse to delete the account. You cant get mad about something that you're in charge of. I honesty just think it's a way to get attention.

This honestly scares me. I'm only 19 years old and when I have children in the future God only knows what these social media sites will entail. It scares me for my unborn teenagers sake.

not only are there downright mean and horrible comments, but some of these kids asks have some pretty explicit sexual questions. and maybe it's just a friend kidding around, but we all know there are creepy people. even the cheer shoe fetish guy stalks people on the ask.fm (which looks like borderline harassment to me.) get rid of it. your friends already know what they need to know about you and you don't owe an explanation about your life to anyone else. delete it. please. your life will be much happier without it.
